Two clubs just €3m away from a deal?

|

According to reports in Spain, a deal between Liverpool and Barcelona for Javier Mascherano could be very close to being finalised. The Catalan media believe that the two clubs could be as little as €3m away from a deal. Barca apparently offered Liverpool £16million plus £4m rated midfielder Alexander Hleb in a deal which was rejected yesterday. Roy Hodgson said on the Mascherano situation:

“His head has obviously been turned by the offer from Barcelona but unfortunately, at the moment, the fee that the club thinks is the correct fee and the fee that is being offered is very far apart. Unless that can be resolved he might be unhappy for a long time to come. The discussions between Barcelona and the club are being held at high club level and as a result I don’t want to say things that may or may not be true.”

It is believed that Liverpool want a straight cash deal for the player and according to the Spanish press, Mascherano has already agreed personal terms of £85,000 per week.

i couldn’t believe this from Masch, really disappointed in him, especially after what he said about the fans before the arsenal game, and then his performance within the game.

Get playing or get out. Either your heart and soul are with the club or we don’t want you here.

Hleb isn’t what we need though, we need a wide man, something painfully obvious against Citeh

Disappointed in Barca too with their insulting offer considering what they received for Yaya from Citeh!
