Adorjan and Silva star in Reds Academy win

|

Goals from Krisztian Adorjan, Toni Silva and Matthew Regan secured a 3-2 win for Liverpool U18s over Derby on Saturday. Rodolfo Borrell’s men had to come from 1-0 down to secure victory but the result shows that the young side are improving with every game. After going a goal down, good work from striker Michael Ngoo on the right to retreive a loose ball led to him crossing to Toni Silva who slotted past Rams keeper Mats Morch. Just before half-time the Reds made it 2-1 after Matthew Regan climbed well and headed a goal from a corner. Derby players disputed whether the ball actually crossed the line and Derby player Aaron Cole was sent off in the row. Adorjan made it 3-1 five minutes after half time with an excellent left footed strike before Callum Ball made it 3-2 after a mistake from Reds keeper Jamie Stephens.
