Genk still optimistic about Reds partnership

|

Belgian club Racing Genk are hopeful that a partnership with Liverpool can still be ironed out. The club were rumoured to be interested in taking both Chris Mavinga and Daniel Ayala on loan before the end of the transfer window but a deal between the two clubs has yet to be reached. Ayala has since left on loan for Hull. The club’s chief Dirk Degraen stated that talks were continuing:

“We will consider next week how the cooperation will look like.”

It is rumoured however that Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson is uncertain of the benefits of such a partnership between Genk and the Merseyside club.
