How far is the ownership situation affecting the team?

|

Poor touches and bad passing dominated the first half of the Birmingham match last week which saw Liverpool F.C counting their blessings and thanking Pepe Reina for giving them a share of the spoils. First, Maxi Rodriguez looked out of sorts and washed up. Debutant Paul Konchesky was his usual reliable self as he would need to be going to St. Andrews to face a very determined and organized Birmingham City side and another debutant Raul Meireles looked competent and ready to step into the first team. However, the signs were clear after the first 15 minutes that we needed to step up the tempo, but that was not to be done, as it was Birmingham City that took the initiative and Liverpool’s backs were soon against the wall.

It was clear that the  lads were not as sharp as they should be and above all they looked de-motivated and as such were just going through the motions. Roy Hodgson in an interview recently echoed that the ongoing dispute in ownership at Liverpool F.C has not affected the players in any way. But Mr. Hodgson I disagree, the players are clearly affected, and this has been the case for some time now.

Mr. Hicks and Mr. Gillett need to go or be forced out. They have taken control of Liverpool Football Club on false promises and lies knowing their intentions were of no good from the outset. In the process, they have caused Liverpool F.C supporters countless heart aches and they have mounted on the players’ added frustration. They have taken the image of the most successful club in England and dragged it through the mud. Mr. H and Mr. G, you are not welcome and it is time for you to go!
