Liverpool forward Dirk Kuyt has admitted that there was interest from Inter Milan. He was told by the Reds though he was an important part of the club’s plans:
“I have heard that there was interest from Inter Milan. It’s a big club, but Liverpool let me know that I am a key player for them. That to me is very important.”
Kuyt’s agent Rob Jansen had only previously confirmed that there had been a bid for the Holland international during the summer transfer window.
