Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani’s agent Franco Zavaglia has said that the player wants to sign on a permanent basis with Juventus as soon as possible:
“We cannot sort this out now, as to complete the transfer we have to wait until March or April. The trouble is that the better the lad plays, the less Liverpool will want to give any kind of discount. You can see how badly the Reds are doing at the moment, as they lost again today and are bottom of the table. I said that Alberto was not a flop and now everyone can see it was the truth. Finally luck is going his way.”
Aquilani scored his first goal for Juve in a 4-0 victory over Lecce yesterday.

It’s now pretty much obviious to everyone that Roy is out of his depth, although the media still want to pin it on benitez who had his faults but was ultimately sacked for having one bad season.
Roy paid nearly £11m for meireless, about the same shalke paid for huntellar and we were offere 9-1o mil for babel, i’d take £6:50 and a bottleof tizer for him, but that money could have bought mcgeady, but hey we’ll try sign carlton cole who can’t get a game for West Ham. Also, Mertersaker, Affelay and Rafhina all out of contract at the end of the season but we’re linked with shawcross for £10m and N’zogbia for £12!!!!!

Aqua or not, it does not excuse RH. I would totally agree that Aqua should have been allowed to leave, primarily cause we got a world class player and he should have had much more credit. Newertheless the material RH has even without Aqua is way beyond no 18 in PL no matter how you set your team…. IF THE x11 would start to fight, instead of waiting on former strength to come by itself…
RH is rubish for LFC but players gotta look inside and be some way embaressed by their effort. No names, however i only see a few players that can be their effort worth…
Get a coach who can revive the LFC spirit, and not a survivor like RH. I can’t recall when he lead a top team, and dispite his glorious days with sub-top-teams he is just not good enought.

i think you guys are missing the point that aquilani ASKED to leave so rather than taking probably 5 mil we sent him on loan with a hope of getting over ten. but i do agree i always thought he had some talent, but i dont understand how everyone tortured him last season now all of a sudden we have people thinking he should have stayed.
im about to turn my back on this club because of some of the supporters we have, i have never seen this from our own supporters, spitting the dummy out and blaming everyone from individual players to managers and the board and the previous owners, being a liverpool supporter is becoming embarrassing!!

I’d give Roy until the new year to see if he can turn things around. If not, we need someone with class and experience at the top level in to use whatever funds are available in the January transfer window. Pellegrini or Hiddink would be my choice. In the meantime, get Agger back in the centre of defence with Skirtel, flanked by Kelly and Carragher. I’d push Johnson into the right wing position with Gerrard and Meireles flanked by Cole on the left and Jovanovic up front with Torres. We need aggression and passion on the pitch not defensive medicority – Roy take note!
