Broughton: They are very happy with him

|

Liverpool Chairman Martin Broughton has confirmed that potential new owners New England Sports Ventures will keep Roy Hodgson as manager if they takeover the club:

“They are very happy that this manager is the right person to take this club forward. They talk enthusiastically about winning and investing in the team, stadium development and doing all the right things. I think they are going to be pretty hands-on and they have a track record of that.”

A court judgement next week will determine whether Martin Broughton acted within his powers to keep Christian Purslow and Ian Ayre on the board to push through the sale to NESV without the permission of owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks.

He isn’t – a manager that is so frequently happy with a single point is not the right manager to take us forwards.

Regardless of the players at his disposal, he doesn’t have the mentality necessary to make us winners again

For me Cappello would be the right man totake ove if we cannot get Mourinhio

No Capello, no O’Neill, no Hodgson – no defensive managers! I don’t care whether the new manager has a massive reputation or not, I just want to see a team committed to playing atacking football again and going for the 3 points whenever possible! (like Holloway against us at Anfield!!)

they’re not being overly ambitious if they are happy with what they’ve seen from woy! it’s a clean sweep we need and that includes an optomistic, adventurous, attack-minded manager like frank rykaard!

    Bad news again.

Roy isn’t ambious, I think he’s a mid table coach. And he’s alway talking about the fans are expecting too much, now come on this is liverpool not fulham. I would go for martin oneil, he wants to win tittles and with the right resources he can.
