Atletico Madrid striker Diego Forlan has stated that he wouldn’t mind returning to England to play in the Premier League. According to the Daily Mail both Liverpool and Tottenham are interested in the Uruguayan:
“Everybody says things, that maybe you don’t want to go back. The time I had in England was great and I enjoyed it and if I had the chance to go back I would be really happy. If I have the chance to go, I will go. You know, it’s like I always say, when I came here to Europe it’s because I left my home and I left everybody so I’m not attached to a team.(You look at) the best offer you have and if you have a chance and it is good and it is good for the team and it is good for you, I don’t see it as bad, I see it is good and I will move.”
The 31 year old has scored 89 goals in 157 appearances for Atletico since his arrival from Villarreal in 2007.

good God i have seen diego forlan as a superb striker who will help bring our club back to the big 4 which people think its over for LIVERPOOL FC to be there,its only if the manager will move quickly and bring him to the club because he always talk about bringing in some good stikers to the club but at the end he will dissappoint us,we need somebody like-FORLAN-SUAREZ-GOMEZ-BENZEMA-also good defenders because johnson and carriger have dissappoint we the fans.pls they should imform whoever that will be the manager to bring in this strikers i mention already,before other club take them because others are also monitoring them.THANK YOU ALL.
he did knock us down on his own many times when he was at united and more recently in the champions league group stages so why not!!! maybe he’s old many would say No but some experience and cheap one in the state we are right now!!!
He’s the type of player to give the club a much needed lift, but he won’t come if we don’t get some more quality in the side.
Yeah, thats what we need, more over the hill, soon to be retired players like Konchensky and Poulsen.. Sorry, but there are better younger players that we should be looking at. We need future investment, not just for the here and now. Benzema, Hazard, Turan, Countreu, Santon, Benaga these are the type of players we need to be looking at in the various positions that we lack. Not over the hill has beens, who could provide “experiance”. We need an injection of extremely talented youngsters, such as those above to inject life back into our club. We already have enough old timers running around pretending to be doing something. Aside from Gerrard, the rest seem to be going through the motions. And you want to bring more old timers to our club.. Dont be daft…
To old but he would be of use if the price was good.
