From Flair to Fight – Can Liverpool show their quality again?

|

Sunday’s magnificent result against Chelsea showed the world and, in particular, the rest of the Premier League, just quite what Liverpool are capable of on their day. Too many times this season we have seen disappointing performances from the Reds, however, with four victories in a row under our belt, here’s to hoping our bad patch, something which every team goes through, is done and dusted at the start of the season and we can now push on and continue to surge up the table rather than plummeting back down it.

With 3 points and impressive performances to take away from our last four games against Blackburn, Bolton, Napoli and Chelsea there is yet more difficult games ahead and the team will need to continue to play at a significant standard in order to progress and continue with our winning run. Liverpool’s next two fixtures are both away games; Wigan and Stoke. TOP TEN LIVERPOOL MOMENTS OF THE DECADE

As we come closer to the end of 2010, I thought it might be good to look back at the last decade and see all the memorable moments Liverpool have had during that time. Of course, the most immediate memory is the Champions League final in 2005, but there are also individual memories such as Gerrard’s goals against Olympiakos in 2005 on the way to the “Miracle in Istanbul,” and the “Gerrard final” of 2006 where Stevie dragged the team to win the FA Cup. Also I have shared memories of instances that occurred under Gerard Houllier’s tenure such as the Golden Goal winner in the UEFA Cup final in 2001, Gary McAllister’s injury time free kick in the Merseyside Derby and John Arne Riise’s goal against Manchester United that nearly broke the goal post in two.

couldn’t have said it better and also agreeing with Stan. Also by the end of the year and we’re in top four, we are in a very good position to attract top quality players in the January transfer windows.
