The Daily Mirror is reporting that three Liverpool players could be leaving in January as NESV look to cut the club’s sizeable wage bill. Ryan Babel, Milan Jovanovic and Spanish starlet Dani Pacheco have all been touted by the paper as being candidates to leave in the January transfer window. While Babel has had few first team opportunities since the arrival of Roy Hodgson, Milan Jovanovic, who only arrived on a free transfer in the summer from Standard Liege, is also said to be likely to leave as he has falllen out of favour in the Redss first team plans. According to the Mirror, Pacheco will also be allowed to leave while Daniel Agger’s future is also in doubt.

If there is any credence to this then Hodgson really needs to go and destroy some other club! Looking at Cole and Elmander and getting rid of Babel and Pacheco.
Doesn’t take a footballing mastermind to see how utterly ludicrous this is.
Surely this can’t be true. Roy MUST leave as we’re bleeding as a club and have largely become a laughing stock lately. We need more quality players, not sale of the same. I will choose to disbelieve this piece.
Agree totally with Niall. Hodgson needs to get out of our club now and bring his sons Koncheski and Poulsen with him. How can you expect Babel to prove himself when the Hodgson the muppet gives him only 30 mins a month? And I’m quite sure Jovanovic’s better than Ngog. Looking at his record at Liege, surely he must be given a chance in the first team? As for Pacheco, I can’t imagine him leaving because of the c**t Hodgson. A young talent with undoubted quality who will surely become a top class player, why isn’t he even on the bench? Instead of selling these three quality players why don’t you sell Koncheski, Poulsen and Ngog?

Cant you report on how well Liverpool equipeed themselves away to Totenham yesterday? if only Maxi and Torres would have stuck them chances away that would have been a great win. We ripped spurs apart, controlled the game and bossed the midfield..

Yes Babel can play when he wants to but hasnt done it enoough…Pacheco is still young and I am sure wont be going..and Jova didnt set the world alight…but who knows, let the board decide for themselves who should come and go.

The three players to go should be ageing players that haven’t cut the mustard;
Maxi, Kuyt & Skrtel – they’ve all played an integral (and underwhelming) role in a consistently underperforming team and over an extended period they are yet to distinguish themselves as anything more than limited “triers”, and you need a lot more than that from your most experienced players.
Move them all on and let some younger blood break through ffs!
Torres,Gerrard,Carragher,Reina,Skyrtel,Konchesky,Poulsen and Cole in an ideal world should all be got rid of in January-they are getting paid big wages for no end product. It is time to promote Kelly, Mavinga, Wilson and Shelvey into the starting Premiership eleven. None of the above named primadonnas give a damn about the club.

In response to Jason and Daz I have been a Liverpool fan for 33 years. Gerrard’s time at the club has past-it is time he moved on. The team has shown it can play better football without him in the last 2 games. Torres’s explosive pace has gone and will not come back and the crappy first touch he always had is now becoming more noticeable and if he is worldclass how is his goal tally for Spain so poor? Even Kevin Nolan has scored more goals than Torres this season. Is Carragher to be absolved of blame for any of the goals conceded so far this season?
babel and jovanovic can be sell..but not pacheco..that boy had bright future at the club..and we have tremendous young player such as suso and sterling..so let they play and one of them will be just like messi..i bet it’s suso
