Reds Target Rules Out Move Away From Italy

|

Rumoured Liverpool transfer target Reto Ziegler has stated his desire to sign a new contract with his side Sampdoria. The Swiss international’s contract was up at the end of the season but Ziegler told the Secolo XIX radio station:

“I think president Riccardo Garrone knows I want to stay here. I feel 100 per cent Sampdoria. And I want to wear this shirt for another three or four years. I hope to reach an agreement on January 1. It has been reported that the gap between what is being demanded and offered is great. But that is not true, it’s small. Sampdoria know that if they come up to me just a little bit, I’ll be ready to sign.”

The 24 year old left back had been linked with Juventus, AC Milan and Liverpool.

Guess that’s good news for us cause I don’t think this guy’s good enough and why would we want to sign a player who flopped at Spurs…I’d have Aurelio as first choice left back and Mavinga as back up.
