Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson believes that Danny Wilson, Dani Pacheco and Nathan Eccleston deserve to feature in the Reds’ Europa League tie against Steaua Bucharest tomorrow night. Hodgson told Liverpoolfc.tv:
“Thursday is a great opportunity for people. You certainly could stake a real claim for a place in the first team if you play well. Maybe the door is now opening up for people like Danny Wilson, Dani Pacheco, Nathan Eccleston – people who’ve done well in training and who work hard every day. They deserve their chance. Martin Kelly did well in his last couple of games he played and created a lot of headlines. A lot of people took notice of his performance. I’m hoping he can keep that going and I hope Danny can have that sort of success. I have faith in the young players and whatever happens on Thursday night I won’t lose faith in them. But it’s an opportunity for them to force their way into my attention even more.”
Liverpool travel to Romania for the second to last game of the Europa League group stages on Thursday.

I’m sure Roy that a lot of people have lost faith in you.
Well actions speaks louder than words, Uncle Woy. When you arrived you said quite a lot about giving youngsters a chance but why is our most promising youngster Pacheco still in the reserves? I hope you stick to your words this time and play Pacheco in Bucharest. Wilson and Eccleston also deserve their chance but I really hope Pacheco can put in a good performance and kick on from here.
