Spanish Press: Reds keen on loaning Real Star

|

Spanish daily newspaper AS is reporting that Liverpool and Tottenham are the frontrunners as Real Madrid look to offload Lassana Diarra in the January transfer window. The 25 year old has only started three games this season, and according to AS, the French international is all set for a move back to England where he has already played for Chelsea, Arsenal and Portsmouth. It is believed that the Reds and Spurs would be keen to take the holding midfielder on loan in January in view to a permanent move at the end of the season. AS also states that Manchester United and Aston Villa are said to be monitoring the situation.

ANOTHER OVER RATED PLAYER WHO HAS DONE NOTHING BUT YET SEEMS TO CREATE FUSS AT THE MENTION OF HIS NAME..?

Really hope we can get him on loan until the end of the season. Lucas is doing quite well at the moment but it’d be great if we could add another all round, energetic central midfielder to the squad. He will have no problem adapting back to English football and maybe he can do the job Mascherano had been doing, breaking up play, intercepting passes and distributing the ball to other players. Poulsen clearly can’t do that and other than Lucas, we haven’t got another player who can fill that role so I think he would be a great addition to the squad.

  • Jay Wright says:

He’s too small to make any major difference there – I’d much rather just stick with Lucas, Meireles and Poulsen as our options there than see us taking on Diarra’s massive wages too.

Any players coming in should either add a lot of athleticism to the team or be exceptionally talented, preferrably both. But there’s no way that we should be taking on any more players without at least one of those gifts

    • Eric says:

Right so that explains why Madrid signed him for 20 mil. Oh and you’d rather stick with Poulsen, you must be quite easily impressed mate.

      • Jay Wright says:

Madrid can afford to flush money down the toilet whereas we can not.

Poulsen is not good enough to be a first teamer but would be happy to be a bench/reserve player for us. Diarra is not good enough to be a first teamer but would not be happy to be a bench/reserve player for us.

        Make sense yet?

we shud b concentrating on 2 quick wingers and another hot striker

  • cybersix says:

When we play 442 in the future, there’s no room anymore for the like of Poulsen or Lassana Diara if we are going to buy him.

    WHY????
Because, i think we are going to stick with Gerrard-Meireles partnership in the future. Meireles is box-to-box midfielder which is enough when we play 442 formation.

So, the most important thing right now is to get pacey & attack-minded winger and 1 more striker.

Curently we got Torres,Babel, and Ngog.
Jovanovic cannot be include since Roy reluctant to use him as a striker in EPL..

  • yusif musa says:
