Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani’s agent Francesco Zavala has stated that Juventus can sign the Italian permanently at any time:
“The signing of Alberto can happen now or in a few months, but May seems to me to be the right month. Without the ankle problem, Alberto is having a very good championship: he must continue the journey he started, I think he will soon be back in the national team.”
Aquilani has appeared 17 times in Serie A for Juve this season, scoring one goal.

his agent keeps saying that over and over again!!if juve want him,give us 14 million and take him..it’s like they want us to lower his price tag..having gerrard and meireles at liverpool doesnt bother me if aquilani stays at juventus..but if they want us to swap him for melo i would take it!!keep aquilani plus 4-5 million and give us melo..a trio of melo-gerrard-meireles may well be like mascherano-xabi-gerrard!!

Either you seriously underrate Aqua or you seriously overrate Melo. Either way I completely disagree. Aqua is class, a similar mould to Alonso, and there’s not many. His only downfall is that he seems to be injury prone.
Juventus are getting the better of the deals they’ve negotiated with Liverpool. We’ve given Aquilani for them for an entire season while we gave them 4.5 mil for Poulsen. Juventus must think we’re stupid.
Hodgson loaned him out as if we’ve got many quality players in midfield. He doesn’t even realise that we don’t benefit in any way, shape or form by loaning him out. And the same goes for Insua, especially if you look at his replacement(Konchesky!).
I just hope Juventus pay the 13 mil before Aquilani comes back injured and we can’t find a buyer for him. Either they pay up or he comes back a better player and we see the best of him in a red shirt.
just get aqua back and send poulsen back to them for free ,aqua is by far the best midfielder we should have after stevie ,he has the quality we need right now for creating and setting up chances,

WIth all due respect, an attacking midfielder scoring 1 goal in 17 appearances is not that big a loss. He never really looked like he could hack the pace or the tackles of the prem, so now he’s back in italy he can play his dainty football and look really good without fear of getting a bruise..
i say cash in on him, get someone who has the strength (and desire!) to command our midfield.
Joe, firstly if you going to state facts get them right. I haven’t gone aand researched this it’s from my memory banks and Aqua scored at least twice, Pompey (home) and A. Madrid (home), so you’re wrong in what you stated. My biggest problem is and always has been with Aqua that he was injury prone in Italy! You can see with how Rafa tried to get the Inter players fitter (they rebelled) that the prem requires greater fitness than Serie A, that questions how injury free he can be in the prem. However he certainly looked at the back end of the season to have the talent required to play for us. Personally I think it was a disgrace to loan him out I thought so at the time, and still do, yet another example of a Hodgson error.
