Blackpool manager Ian Holloway has revealed that both Blackpool and Liverpool players had an unwelcome surprise when the teams returned to the dressing room after the final whistle:
“We had no hot water. That’s the third time. Now we’ve talked the chairman into buying the right type of boiler that won’t break down because he wouldn’t sanction that the other week. I don’t want him to change. But trying to get the money out of my chairman’s hand isn’t easy. He’s got such a grasp on it, he’s like a fantastic gymnast on a high bar.”
Liverpool face Everton on Sunday after their 2-1 defeat to Blackpool on Wednesday night.
