Southampton Chairman Nicola Cortese has told any potential suitors to keep their hands off the Saints’ young midfield prospect Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain:
“Alex isn’t going anywhere. He’s a great prospect for the future but not the transfer market. I don’t think he would wish to be anywhere else.”
The Daily Mail revealed today that Arsenal were leading the chase for the youngster with Arsene Wenger hopeful of tying up a £5million plus add ons, but no deal looks close if Cortese is to be believed.
