|

L’Equipe are reporting that Lille’s attacking midfielder Eden Hazard has ruled out a move to Liverpool. According to the French newspaper, Liverpool Director of Football Strategy Damien Comolli made an approach for the 20 year old but the Belgian international made it clear he has no interest in moving to the Merseyside club. Hazard has previously stated that he would prefer a move away from French football and has spoken of his admiration for both Arsene Wenger and Arsenal. Hazard has already played 27 times this season, scoring five goals.

It’s only the deluded fans that thought we had a shot at him, or the likes of Alexi Sanchez. Our reputation has been hugely damaged in regards to attracting the top young talent, following years of defensive football, mismanagement of youth and ultimately the poor recent results on the pitch.

There is still a slight shot that we could attract the likes of suarez while his reputation has taken a hit though, and in order to propel the team back up to where we want to be, it is imperative that we take advantage of this opportunity
