Rumour Mill: Premiership boss ‘shock favourite’ for Reds job?

|

Bolton manager Owen Coyle has emerged as a “shock favourite” to become Liverpool’s next manager, according to the Daily Star. After the defeat to Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday night, Roy Hodgson’s future as boss is hanging by a thread and is unlikely to be in charge beyond the FA Cup tie against Manchester United at the weekend. Coyle has had a good start to the season with Bolton and his name has been mentioned as a front-runner as Liverpool’s American owners look for a long term successor to Hodgson, according to the paper.

Bet on Liverpool to win 1-0 against Man Utd at 13/1!

This week it is former Liverpool WAG Gisela Molinero!

boas has only been a manager for 6 months and has just signed a 4 year contract and hes only 33,
why bother with him when we have a 33 year old who has 6 months less experience and is allready at the club ,
hes called jamie carragher and he is MR.LIVERPOOL

  • I'm Sorry says:

Frank Rikard has ruled himself out from becoming Liverpool manager. Pls if u tell tht Owen Coyle is at the top of list. Then Ian Hollaway would be second on the list. PLEASE BRING RAFA OR THAT NEW MANAGER AT PORTO , OTHERWISE KEEP KING KENNY AS THE CARETAKER.

Why would you want Rafa back when he’s the reason Masch Nd Alonso left and we’re in this situation. Look how he ruined a good Inter team!

    • HellAngel says:

Bring Rafa and then??? waste Henry’s money on buying expensive flops ? NO!

  • Fidel says:

Really now, just bacuase the guy is doing well with Bolton doesn’t mean he’ll cut it at Liverpool. Just ask Roy. We need someone to bring in a bit of flair into our game and tactical descipline

  • just for the record the IFFHS a company tasked by FIFA to rate amongst other things managers over the last 10 years puts Rafa in 9th.Considering that the TOP 10 it includes 4 managers of national teams 2 of them having won the World Cup and they are Marcello Lippi and Luis Felipe Scolari respectively Italy and Brasil. In number 1 is Arsene Wenger and he has no trophies to show for in the last 5 years I ask anyone 1 bad season and we let go a manager that took us to number 1 in Europe.Beggars belief!he is in Wirral let’s get him until the end of the season and use his own stats that he is famous for.Sometimes the answer is right in front of you.No promises past the summer and see where we are.Anyone?
