Alberto Aquilani – The Italian midfielder is still enjoying a good spell in the Juventus team despite Juve’s travails recently. The Italian club have only won once in four matches since the winter break with the only win due to a vital goal by Aquilani himself. The “Old Lady” were struggling 1-1 at home to Bari when Aquilani finished adeptly with a controlled volley from just outside the box to ensure 3 points for the home side:

In a quite bizarre incident in Juve’s match with Sampdoria on Saturday, Aquilani was knocked down to the floor by the referee after running into the official:

It was an unhappy return for former Sampdoria coach Luigi Del Neri though, as the match ended 0-0 leaving Juventus 9 points behind leaders AC Milan.
