Clarke: Hopefully we will see the “real Joe Cole” soon

|

Liverpool First Team Coach Steve Clarke is hopeful that Joe Cole can arrest his downturn in form and return to the Liverpool side to be a “great asset” after his recent injury setback. He told Liverpoolfc.tv.

“He’s working again on the training pitch. He’s not joined in with the group yet but he is on his way back and hopefully before the end of the season we will get a glimpse of the real Joe Cole. If Joe can get himself fit and focused on the pitch then he will certainly be a big asset to this squad.”

Clarke also believes that the 3-5-2 system seen against Stoke City and Chelsea will be used again this season:

“We will look at it game by game. You have to look at the opposition and you have to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the opposition. It’s good for us because it means we can be more flexible and it means we are not as easy to read for the opposition. We can change the system to suit how we want to play so it’s good to have different systems.”

We all need to start getting behind Joe Cole and start singing his name ( even if he isn’t playing)! We know how great he is and we know how great he could be for us , I feel it has been a big move for the lad and hasnt gone to plan due to the failure of Roy Hodgson. If we all started singing his name and had a flag put up in the kop for him then I’m sure once he hear’s his name being sang and sees a flag with his face on it , then that will give him the drive and desire to get back into the first team and help make him feel at home. He hasn’t failed at Anfield , he just hasn’t made it YET !
