Reds Target ‘hurting’ at lack of game time

|

Hamburg winger Eljero Elia has told Voetbal International of the frustration  about the lack of first team opportunities he is getting at the German club:

“Apparently there is not much confidence in me. That hurts. I feel strong and would like to show the fans what I can do. It is very frustrating. I have started eight games and we have won seven of them so I cannot have done that badly. I don’t know what I have done wrong, I have not been told. I know that I am not a bad player and I am in good shape. I am a player who needs confidence. If I play every week I will improve. No-one can accuse me of not working hard enough, I am as fit as a fiddle.”

Elia was rumoured to be a target of Liverpool both back in the summer and the January transfer window.
