Liverpool legend Phil Thompson has revealed that Reds midfielder Joe Cole is determined to win back his place in the starting eleven after a succession of injuries have hampered his first season at the club:
“There are a few players who are in that squad going over there [Prague], particularly Joe Cole who I met the other day and was full of positive vibes. If there’s anybody who’s suffered since the start of the season then it’s Joe, he’s been really disappointed about the injuries that he’s had. He was saying that he can’t wait to get back playing and being played in his rightful position.”
The Reds midfielder will be hoping he is included in the team for the Europa League tie tonight against Sparta Prague.

Sad to say that I was right to be against his signing, but even I still expected him to be a lot better than this though!
