Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole believes that the signings of Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll will be crucial in the future success of the club. Speaking to Liverpoolfc.tv, he said:
“You’ve got to credit the people at the club in recruitment. It’s so important at Liverpool – you’ve got to be bringing in the right players. Throughout history, the most successful teams have been the ones who have signed the right players. So for this club it is important we do that, and with the two signings we made in January we have really strengthened. Those two added to the quality we’ve got, together we can take the club forward. I’m really looking forward to playing with both of them. It’s going to be interesting to see how we’ll fit them in and what system we’re going to play.”
Cole came on as a substitute in the 3-1 defeat to West Ham at the weekend.
