According to the Daily Mirror, Liverpool will have to fight off Everton and Tottenham for the signature of Real Madrid midfield enforcer Fernando Gago. The 24 year old has 2 years left on his contract at the Bernabeu and Real are willing to let the player go in the summer. The Mirror reports that the Madrid club will demand £10million for the player and it sources from Spain suggest that Liverpool are favourites to land the Argentine, ahead of Spurs and their Merseyside rivals.

Any player who turns down Liverpool for Everton, has little ambition. If he’d rather leave Real Madrid for Everton then we’d be better off without him.

Fernando Gago is a technically good player but I don’t think we need him and I don’t think he’s the kind of player that will improve the squad in terms of quality. In fact, we have a similar player in Lucas who is now better than him and who can protect the back four better than him. Next season with Gerrard, Meireles, Lucas, maybe Aquilani and possibly Adam and McCarthy we definitely don’t need him. Gago is good technically but the Premier League is too fast and physical for him so he’s better off in Spain or Italy.
you never saw gago, gago is a classic midfielder, I do not fit the style of liverpool, but definitely (this goes for Goalkick. Voronin) does not play in the same position as Mascherano, he is a player to practice alongside
Mascherano, the same style as Vanega. I would prefer to McCarthy, Boudebouz and m’vila, those are the midfielders that
liverpool need.

Good player but over-rated when comes to Charlie Adam. Adam has the U.K. blood and is fierce as well as a good passer. you can spend £10million and get Adam who has more of an impact!
