Evans: Show us the money FSG

|

Former Liverpool manager Roy Evans will wait until the summer to be convinced by Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group. He told talkSPORT:

“People were saying the owners done fantastic when we sold Torres for £50million but we still haven’t seen any of their money yet. At the end of the season if they realise the plight and have got a real feeling for this club they’ve got to spend a decent amount of money.”

The Reds will be without Steven Gerrard for the rest of the season after he aggravated a groin injury.

INTRODUCING PORTAL 2!

I agree with roy everybodys been to quick to praise these guys when they havnt really done anything.

Its only bacause they couldnt be any worse than them two cowboys that everone thinks they have done good

How much do they have to spend in the Summer on transfers to be deemed trustworthy? I would suggest a net spend of £60m.

  • Jonski says:

Not convinced by them well think about it, for one by buying the club they are saving us 100k a day! The club is now being run behind closed doors the way it should. Yes maybe they haven’t spent their own money yet, but we were going to buy Suarez before Torres wanted to leave, and we had bids for other players turned down, nothing we can do about that! Kenny isn’t a puppet and wouldn’t have said what he did without believing it. It’s not about the last being so bad these are looking good, these have a good business model and despite what people think do want us to succeed, I think we will spend big in the summer, 4-5 top players will come and 4-5 will leave. The amount of players we have is not the problem but the quality of these.

    well said Jonski.

  • gerard says:

Considering a top player is worth around £25 million then Liverpool will need roughly £75 million provided that the likes of Pepe Reina remains on board.
