Liverpool midfielder Jay Spearing has confirmed his agent is discussing a new contract with Director of Football Damien Comolli:
“My agent is speaking to Damien Comolli. Any time when the club comes to you and wants to talk to you about a new contract it’s an extra bonus for you to go out there and play well.”
Spearing has had a prominent role in central midfield since Kenny Dalglish took over as manager in January.
