The Evening Chronicle is reporting that Magpies left back Jose Enrique has been given two weeks by manager Alan Pardew to decide whether he wants to stay at St James’ Park. Enrique has so far stalled on signing a new deal to stay with Newcastle, and after stating that he would discuss matters after the club secured top flight status, which they now have, it has led to growing impatience from Newcastle. They want to set a budget and to know what positions they need to fill in the summer transfer window, and the uncertainty over Enrique’s future is making such plans difficult.
