The Daily Mirror is reporting that Real Madrid are looking to offload France international Lassana Diarra. Premier League clubs such as Liverpool and Arsenal are being sounded out as to whether they would be willing to take the holding midfielder. Diarra had a brief spell at Arsenal in the 2007/08 campaign after he moved from Chelsea, and is prepared to return to the Premier League as he is tired of not having a regular run in the first team at the Bernabeu. According to the paper, Madrid are looking for at least £12million for the player.

He really is a good player, but have found it hard to brake into the first IX at Chelsea, Arsenal and Real Madrid. The only place he got regular football was at Portsmouth. Don’t see him joining any of the bigger teams this time around.
No wonder Arsenal and Chelsea have struggled to win the title this season if they’re only fielding IX players!

I hope we look elsewhere from Diarra – we need more size, athleticism and power throughout the team, not more undersized triers. Especially if Lucas and Meireles are going to remain as key components of our midfield.
If we just want a little guy to run around and give us some energy we might as well save the money and stick with Spearing!

Lass is a good player IMO, never made it at arsenal due to Gilberto Silva (who was captain at the time) and at chelsea Lampard Ballack and Essien were the three cm’s so yeah hes been unfortunate.
