Want away Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero’s agent Hernan Reguera has stated that Champions League football is not the be all and end all for his client:

“Sergio has two agents and we have both been in Argentina, we have not met anyone. We have not been in Italy or anywhere, we are in Argentina working on his future. He is quiet, he has delegated this to us and is now focused on the Copa America. It is clear that Kun is eager to play Champions League football next season. However, it will not be a decisive factor in the decision on his future. We are currently considering his options and many factors play a role in his decision.”

Aguero has most recently been linked with moves to Juventus and Real Madrid.

This week it is LFC WAG Clio Zenden!

  • Don’t buy him, with the £35 mil he’d cost, we could buy Adam and 2 other overpiced english midfielders. He’s not that good anyways, not as good as the under 21 forwards over in Denmark at the moment, we could buy one of them for £30 instead. Looking forward to a packed midfield and no left backs again next season.

    • GLover says:

      You think, more-is better???

    • m kop says:

And what with 35 mil. that was payed Newcastle to get Carroll?
If Liverpool can get Aguero it is better than to spend 15+ on Downing and than some more players but without real class.

Dont worry left back position will be sorted out, our owners know what they can spend and KK and Comoli are not idiots.

  • lee says:

we can have Upson,Noble,Downing,Adam and C,Cole for that money and play for a place in the championship.

  • Ben says:

haha yeah and no wingers apparently, unless we manage to snare the supremely gifted Downing!!! 🙁

  • Jay says:

Lol very good sarcastic comments, at least Liverpool realise where they finally are, your right Adam, Downing and C.Cole and then you are finished for the summer I think, you will probably play 60 million too much for those 3.

Aguero would do great at Spurs, Leandro Damaio Brazils number 9 and Argy international Aguero should make a great partnership

  • vn says:

    @voronin:Nonsense mate.
    Imagine a trio of suarez—carroll—-aguero.
    gerrard in the midfield
    pepe in the goal post

WE WILL HAVE A GOOD CHANCE OF WINNING THE LEAGUE.
    PLZ,SIGN HIM.
    YNWA.

  • Lfc4LifeR says:

    Suarez and Aguero?
No Just wouldn’t work unless we now have achange in transfer policy of trying to win the EPL!

  • Rango says:

What are these guys!!?…..Just because we’ve signed Henderson and are linked with a few ENGLISH YOUNGSTERS DOESN’T MEAN WE ARE NOT SIGNING ANYONE ELSE!, for pete’s sake we are just at the begining of the transfer activity.
Atleast give the club a chance to complete the the whole team building process this summer to pass judgement!!

  • sam says:

    IF AND ITS A BIG IF THE CLUB CAN EVEN AFFORD THIS VERY GIFTED AND MARKETABLE PLAYER THEN FOR ME ITS GOT TO DONE;

1, IT WOULD GET LIVERPOOL BACK OUT THEIR AS A GLOBAL FOOTBALLING FORCE,

    2, FANS WOULD BE LIFTED,

3 FSG PROFILE IN THE SPORTS MARKETING – BUSINESS WOULD GET AN UPGRADE AND THEY WOULD GET MASSIVE NEWS FOR THIS DEAL,

4, SELL MUCH MORE SHIRTS THEN TORRES EVER DID,

5, WOULD ALSO MAKE THE CLUB MONEY OUT OF MARKETING, NEWS , AND MANY OTHER MEDIAS

6,MWOULD LIFET THE WHOLE CLUB EVEN THE 1ST TEAM WOULD BE LIKE!!! WE HAVE JUST SIGNED AGUERO,, JESUS FACTOR,

7, THE YOUNG KIDS COULD LEARN A THING OR TO

8, IT WOULD SHOCK THE PREM LEAGUE AND OUR RIVALS WOULD CRAP THEMSELVES,

9, HE I A GREAT YOUNG PLAYER WITH MANY YEARS AHEAD, HENCE VALUE IN THE DEAL.

10 EVEN IF IIT DIDNT WORK, AGUERO WOULD BE SOLD AT WORST WITH A RECOUP MONEY IN VALUE TO BE HAD

11 HE CAN PLAY MORE THAN TWO OR THREE POSITIONS IN THE TEAM

12 HE WOULD RAISE THE PROFILE OF EVEN LIVERPOOL FC AND WE NEED IT BEING OUT OF THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

13 WOULD OPEN UP MARKETS ACROSS SOUTH AMERICA

THIS DEAL FOR ANY FOOTBALL CLUB MAKES MASSIVE BUISNESS IN ANY WAY SHAPE OF FOURM…IT HAS TO BE DONE.

WOULD OFFER HIM 185 GRAND A WEEK ON A 6 YEAR DEAL

  • steve s says:

Agree Rango – all these that believe everything in the papers or the net need to go get themselves sorted. Liverpool are looking at english players now COS THE EUROPEAN TRANSFER WINDOW DOESN’T OPEN TIL THE 1ST JULY!!

So, wait til the season starts in August, look at the line ups and then judge. Does my f’ing nut in these people.

  • bl007 says:

But, erm on Football Manager I sign all these players without problem. Aguero, Hazard, you name it.
    ROFLMAO

  • rolando says:

Like Steve S says Euro market doesnt open till July 1st so how many foreign players should we have signed by now. Henderson is a great buy for the future and proves FSG are staying true to their word. I wouldnt be suprise if we did sign augero. he is a liverpool fan after all!

  • a finnigan says:

augero and a left back forget adam let the mancs have him gerrard suarez augero, andy carrol ? if he trains well plus the home grown rule but this kid is a winger/stevie g. role or a out and out prem. winner

  • sam says:

aguero is a must and thats that.

marketing shirt sales, lifting liverpool up in the worlds eyes.

making the team and club,i.e. giving the place a lift.

fsg would then get a upgrade in all their business interests.

the whole deal is a win win situation for any club in the game.

the player is massive and would help market the club insouth america markets.

sell on value would be high.

everything you say about signing aguero is a win win deal, its clear

  • If the European window doesn’t open until 1st July how have Newcastle signed the Midfielder from Lille? How are Arsenal opening talks with Gervinho? How have The Manc Brothers bid for Sanchez?
Too many papers are advising Mata is available and at £20mil? Why Henderson or Downing for that price and not Mata ?
We have been linked with Adam and it has been confirmed we’ve Bid in January, so we are interested. Why is yet another midfielder required before a left back or at least 2 wingers have been signed?
Negative, yes. But with good reason. We bid somewhere between £16 and £22 mil for Jones? Cahill buy out £16mil Dann available £10mil
If we have a bottomless pit of Money like MAn City – Great carry on build up the kids etc. But if not …….

  • Lfc4LifeR says:

The reason no club has signed Aguero over the past few tea is £200k pw wages!
At around £40m it would appear that we can afford him but with wages and everything else the whole package would cost nearer £60m-£65m..

What will Gerrard have to say about a player earning almost double his wages?

Man city and Chelsea are the teams who can afford him…

He won’t be coming to us anytime soon unless he takes a pay cut and pays more tax than he’s paying Spain!

On the plus side atleast he’s a LFC supporter!

  • CB says:

If we did sign aguero, we wouldnt need to sign any more wingers, just play 4-3-3 with Gerrard-Lucas-Henderson/Meireles. I’d sign aguero, a left-back and some promising kids from all over as squad players.

  • nigel says:

i remember an article about fsg or commoli and it said we would sign one marquee signing in the summer- i hope its aguero. To make it happen we must ship out the high earning, bench warmers like jovanovic, cole, poulsen, degen, el zhar, brad jones. Id even sell agger. Quality but injured too much. Then we would have enough in the wage budget to have a go at signing him. Prob is it wont be easy to move them on. Can go 4-3-3- kk playing pass and move football, not the dross under hodgson. Fingers crossed- plenty of the window to go!

  • SHA says:

GET AGUERO AND PLAY 4-3-3 (4-1-2-3)

    FOUR DEFENDERS
    LUCAS
    GERRARD MERELIES
    SUAREZ CAROL AGUERO

charlie or henderson can play instead of merlies

  • Danny says:

@ SHA: I agree with the formation but I reckon we’d do better to go 4-2-1-3 and have Lucas teamed up with another to share the defensive duties as I reckon he’d struggle on his own. That said, FSG seem to be targeting players who have high prospects of greater resale value. Personally, I don’t see Aguero ever being involved in any deal higher than what is being touted for him now. And as for his wages…..

  • We’re going 3 at the back next season. You’ll see. We’ll go 3 – 6 – 1 The 6 being a holding midfielder 2X Wingbacks and a free role behind Carrol. Plus the 2 Central.
Take a look at the ‘Wingers’ we’re linked with Downing, Marveaux, Vargas Can all play wingback. Add Johnson who is better going forward.
Look again at the Other links – About 3 or 4 Centre backs and renewing Sato’s contract and central midfielders.
Only forward linked with is Cassano who is like Suarez – playes off Forward.
    3 – 6 – 1 Saw it here first !
