Liverpool are to launch an £8million for Birmingham defender Scott Dann, according to the Daily Star. The paper believes that Blues manager Alex McLeish would like to have Dann and centre half Roger Johnson as his centre back pairing for next season, but after the club’s relegation to the Championship, Birmingham may have to reluctantly part with Dann, and the Reds believe that £8million will be enough to prise the 24 year old away from the Midlands club. Dann is a Liverpool fan, and would certainly wouldn’t turn down the chance of a move.

this are not the type of players lfc need as of this point in time,lfc need the type of players that can bring back the glory days to the club not all these set of players that kenny is going arround in england,where are the[ diego-coentrao-j.navas-rolando-alexis sanchez-eden hazard-marko marin-bojan-just but few.
The last glory days were built on ‘nobodies’ and inconsistant players that Kenny took and moulded into an unstoppable machine, playing elegant, tsunami-esque football in the process. Why cant he do that same here and now?
Spot on. People should stop saying certain players are not good enough for LFC. Kenny sees talent that we are not able to. Kenny will make it work.

Exactly who were those ‘nobodies’you speak of! Liverpool fc players signed by Kenny Dalglish included; Steve McMahon/John Aldrigde/John Barnes/Peter Beardsley etc.
He also brought in; Venison/Staunton/Spackman/Houghton/Redknapp,and brought back Ian Rush!
Are you honestly reading these stories in the same way, you are asking for glory tomorrow. Its going to take ridiculous amounts of money to get any of the players you think are amazing. One thing you need to realise is that the youth are the foundation for an amazing future. Imagine if these players sign we could have a team of excellent 20 year olds. Our future would be immense stop thinking of now and think of the future of the club. You sound like a glory hunter!

Scott Dann,as i have mentioned should be good for LFC, but I would be weary of his team-mate,Roger Johnson; to me,he seems to be out of position all too often! When he ventures outside his ‘set out’ position,he is too slow to recover(does’n’t even make an effort to get back),and leaves the other defenders ‘wide open’!!! KING KENNY,please don’t go for Roger Johnson ???
