According to Spanish daily AS, Villarreal have informed Liverpool of their asking price for midfielder Santi Cazorla. The paper believes that the Spanish club are prepared to sell but only for €20million. Cazorla himself is aware of the interest being shown from Liverpool, but is waiting to see whether the Reds are serious about making an offer. The 26 year old winger, can play on either flank and has 33 caps for Spain.

I will always respect the decisions of Kenny and Camoli.However,I am yet to understand the wisdom behind buying English overrated players at prices that can get us world class players like aguero,sanshez,hazard,pastore,mata and just to mention a few.
We already have young English prospects in the shape of Kelly,jonjo,flano,jack Robinson,sterling,spearing…
if we really need young talents then we can go for Erickson,shaqir,jefren,wistle and just to mention a few.

We showed on the back end of last season’s form that we only need a couple of signings to be a force again. A bit of squad depth. We need above all else, a left winger and left back. We don’t need any more central midfielders. We possibly need another CB to give some competition. We don’t need RB. This line up for me is not only a realistic lineup, it’s an exciting lineup and it’s a lineup that under KK will bring us not only into CL placings again, but genuine title contenders. One last thing. The owners have shown with Boston Red Sox that they have a winning mentality and are willing to buy players. But saying that, they are not stupid. They won’t buy a player just because one person tells them to, even if that one person is someone they brought in, namely Comolli. They will also rely on the scouting network and analyse the targets to see whether they will fit into the side. They have already shown this transfer window that they are willing to spend, 20 mil on Henderson. This is a very exciting transfer window.

We also need to get rid of Degen, El Zhar and if Aquilani wants to go, sell him too, for no less than 10 mil. But getting rid of the best keeper in the league? Getting rid of our future CB pairing in Skrtel and Agger? Getting rid of Lucas, who was one of our best players last season and getting rid of Meireles, who was voted for and won the best player of the season, not just for us, but in the entire league? Kuyt who scored a hat trick against Man Utd and found his goal scoring touch under KK? Carroll as well? Ridiculous. As for players to be brought in, only 1 name sticks out to me and that is Marko Marin. How about Eljero Elia as well?
