“After finding out that he’s not in favour with Liverpool, Alberto would prefer a permanent solution rather than just be part of a loan. We want to find a solution so that next year the current situation will not reoccur again. The player wants to come to Italy on a definite transfer.”
AC Milan looked to have joined Fiorentina in the race for the midfielder too as Milan Chief Adriano Galliani was quoted in the Gazzetta Dello Sport as saying:
“Aquilani our ‘Mister X’? Well, that could happen.”
