Liverpool forward Dani Pacheco has said he will sort out his future after the U20 World Cup:

“This summer I haven’t spoken with Dalglish but now I don’t care as I am focused on my work with the Spanish Under-20 World Cup squad in Columbia. There will be time after to see what happens with me, although I know there are Spanish clubs that are interested.”

A loan move to Coventry collapsed earlier this summer.

This week it is former LFC WAG Claudine Keane!

We need to let him go if we’re never gonna play him. It’s not fair on the lad.

Agreed Grayman. I’ve been going to Reserve games for 10 years now, and he’s been one of the bright spots! If LFC continue like this rarely promoting our BEST youth ie: Pacheco, Nemeth, then I’m sure Pep Seguera and Rodolfo will get fed up and leave our fantastic Reserve/Youth program. It’s as frustrating for Dani as it is for them!…Dani is a better player than Cole right now and he doesn’t get a “snuff”. I hope he gets sold, as Bruna did and I hope we regret seeing how good he’ll be!!!

      • I think thats unfair. Liverpool played more youngsters last year than any other club in England – The likes of Robinson, Kelly, Flanagan, Spearing, N’gog, Shelvey and Wilson all had a few games, some played a lot. Others saw Europa League action. Some of these players will be in the first-team squad in the season ahead, which should be recognised as a positive.

Pacheco got chances too, but in all fairness, he was pretty rubbish. He can be good someday though, I agree – advances have been rejected from the likes of Coventry already as LFC told them that may want to use Pacheco in the season ahead. A season-long loan could be the better option as he could be a much better player in a year’s time. He won’t play often at LFC this year.

The likes of Coady and Wisdom are also making the transition. Suso, Morgan & Sterling will follow…. along with a host of other good players, such as Ngoo. Relax. All in good time. Kenny is giving youth a chance. Nemeth did look good though! Dammit!

Kenny is giving youth players a chance but the thing is, he is only interested in British players. As much as I would like to see Pacheco given a chance, I’m afraid that is highly unlikely as Kenny has no interest in foreign youngsters. Pacheco will most probably be sold before he even gets a sniff. Just look at what happened to Mavinga.

  • i think we need to play him, he has fed up playin with reserve team and playing in another club by loan pls we have to played him regular in premiership.

first of all, Ngog isn’t a youngster despite being young.
@Barry: I dont know how good Pachecho is but I know he can play LW and CF. also he seems like a player with some flair.
i know he got some playing time under Hodgson but Thats hardly the kind that helps young players progress. Young players are supposed to be brought in when the scoreline is comfortable so that there is little or no added pressure on them to produce.
I remember quite clearly that most (if not all) of the time the chap was brought in, we were either a goal down and tryin to salvage a draw, or tryin to scrape a goal in to end a boring draw. and the guy often cut a sorry ‘out of form Torres’ figure with a couple of unsuccessful dribbles.
cant say I blame the player though.

oops.. my comment was meant to be a reply to Shaun & Barry

  • Ahh Ted says:

If their good enough they will make it. Name youth players who have left us before and have gone on to play for top teams. You will struggle to find one!
