Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has stated that “time will tell” whether the amount he is spent this summer will be a wise investment:

“If you want to buy any of those players, you’ll pay more than I did. You want to put a bid in? I’m not interested. We’re interested in improving and the prices we paid are what we’ve paid. Bold or stupid? Time will tell.”

Dalglish also failed to rule out more signings before the end of the transfer window:

“I honestly don’t know. If I said yes I could be telling a porky. I think it’s inevitable that movement goes on in football. If someone taps on your door for whatever reason… But if everybody stays here I don’t have any problems.”

This week it is LFC WAG Carly Zucker!!

The acquisition of British players is causing me great concern. Just watch England play and tell me if they are an attractive team to watch.

Our English core will benefit the national team in the long run, far more than the likes of Chelsea or man city might. Together they only contribute 5 players. Unlike real Madrid and Barcelona who contribute a starting lineup as well as a few bench players. It won’t be long before we see as many as 6/7 Liverpool players pulling on the England shirt. That allows England to challenge for something as the core players have a fantastic understanding… 38 games together, week in week out, is far better for team chemisty than 4/5 games here and there.

kenny dalglish and damien comolli had a transfer strategy during interseason which consisted of buying premier league players especially british one. They naively thought that those players would gel automatically in the team and not have to undergo any period of adaptation. But their ridiculous strategy is flawed since these type of players although not utter crap are far from having the class of foreign players with the same price tag…Caroll was a mistake and worst trying to build a team around a mistake is an even bigger mistake.
