New Liverpool left back Jose Enrique believes that if they can play consistently like they did in the first half against Sunderland then they can beat anyone this season. He told Liverpoolfc.tv:
“It was an amazing feeling for me to put the red shirt on for the first time because this is a fantastic club. When the manager told me I was starting I called up my family because they all wanted to watch the game. In the first half we played some unbelievable stuff and we need to do that for 90 minutes. If we can do that then we can beat anyone. We want to get back into the top four this season and if we could win the Premier League that would be fantastic, but we have to be realistic. A lot of teams have spent a lot of money and for me this league is the most competitive one in the world. Seven teams could finish in the top four but we want to be there and we will do everything we can to make that possible.”
Enrique was only signed a day before he was asked to start against Sunderland on Saturday as Fabio Aurelio was injured.
