Why I can’t wait for Kenny to unleash him on our opponents

|

The thought of a Suarez and Bellamy partnership up front is mouth watering to say the least and I fully expect our new number 39 to settle back into the team fairly quickly. Along with his footballing ability, it is clear that Craig Bellamy also loves the club and has the right attitude to succeed under Kenny Dalglish. I can honestly say that Bellamy’s capture was one of the most satisfying of the summer and I now can’t wait to see Dalglish unleash the Welshman’s blistering pace against tiring defenders throughout the current campaign.

Bellamy has joined Liverpool at a perfect time for both him and for the club. When he was first signed in 2006, he was expected to be one of the main men up front in a partnership with Dirk Kuyt, which didn’t work out too well as we all know. Now, he has been signed as a backup option for an already healthy looking forward line, and at the age of 32 there isn’t as much pressure on his shoulders as in his previous spell. The mere fact that Liverpool can call on a player with the quality of Craig Bellamy as just a backup option really does show just how far the Reds have come in the last 12 months.

Unleash Bellamy? Stop exaggerating. Bellamy is no Messi. At best, he is only a decent footballer. Stoke deservedly brought Liverpool back to Earth. Yeah, yeah Henderson will soon be the best midfielder in the world. Sure, sure… yet giving acres of space and all the time in the world, he couldn’t even make it count. Wow! what a potential. And with Carroll playing and looking like a donkey, Liverpool will be a threat to any team. Yep… sure.

Excuses! Excuses! We NEED scorers and we need them quick!
