LIVERPOOL FC have reached an agreement with Celta Vigo to sign Spaniard Iago Aspas for a reported fee of €9m, as reported in the Liverpool Echo and Marca.
Aspas, a versatile forward is expected to undergo a medical on Merseyside when the Spanish season concludes next week to finalise the deal. The 25 year old has scored 12 goals in 36 appearances for relegation threatened Celta this season after helping the team to regain their place in Spain’s top flight with 23 league goals last term.
Brought through the youth ranks at Celta, Aspas even has a Supporter’s Club named after him – the Peña Iago Aspas – and has become a hot prospect in La Liga after demonstrating what he can do this season – his first in Spain’s top-flight – marrying frightening pace with excellent movement.
Hot on the heels of agreeing Kolo Toure’s signing, Liverpool have moved quickly for Aspas and seemingly concluded their second piece of summer business – however, the move coincides with the latest news to come out of South America regarding Luis Suarez, as the Reds number 7 gave an interview, stating it would be ‘difficult’ to turn down any approach from Real Madrid, after he and his family have become sick of the British media.

It will very sad to see Suraz leave Liverpool cause of the the British Press. We must find some way via the Boss to convince him to stay.

Why words like doomed or finished.. We are better organized team with or without suarez .. He as also been blocking ways for youth development cos we rally sole on him. Rememba he hasn’t been really helpful during dis 2seasons he has used and also remember know matter how good he is players ,who he will play with we say som bad stuff about him in and off d pitch.. The owners and B Rodgers should not accept nothing less than £65M for Suarez, as he is currently the third best player in world football at moment and if Real Madrid have offered Tottenham £60M for Bale, we should not accept nothing less than £60-£65M for him.
And if Real Madrid or Bayern Munich meet that Valuation: Then he should be sold then with the £60-£65M it should be put straight back in playing staff.
And these 5 players should be replace Suarez:

Those 5 players would change whole dimension of side and would replace the huge whole Suarez will leave if his Class and Quality is not replaced.
And in Benteke and Rossi there is two strikers who will bring more speed, mobility, power and different attributes to side. And in Aspas, Benteke, Rossi and Sturridge club would have 4 good class quality strikers over the course of the season.
In Munian , we would have another young pacey attacking midfielder at squad with the potential to be world class competing with Coutinho, Shelvey and Suso for a starting position in first 11.
In Tello, Club would have a pacey quick direct winger who is strong, has good finish and can play on either wing comfortably competing with sterling for the right wing position in first 11.
In Capel, Club would have s skillful, quick direct left footed Magician who loves to get at full backs causing problems week in week out and competing with Downing or IBE for the Left wing position at club.
The club should not be held to ransom, Suarez recently signed new contract if he is to be sold he should be sold for £60m and upwards. Nothing less
Then if he is sold: C Benteke(21), D Capel(25), I Munian(19). G Rossi(26) and C Tello(21), those five players would replace Suarez and make the team and squad alot stronger than what it is now.
Sacrificing one world class player to bring in three young class players with the potential to being world class and two players who are class, quality players with something to prove would get club back on track to competing with Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham for a top 3 to 4th position in the league year in and year out.
Dennis I agree with you regarding the price he should be sold for but he has a £40 million release fee in his contract so that’s all we will get for him. Rodgers needs to get some proven players rather than potentially good players.
Mark, he just signed new contract. so the only reason Liverpool should sell Suarez for £40- £45M is with Benzema, Higuain or Modric in the deal.
Therefore club could spend the £40M-£45M and the owners should add another £12M to make £52- £57M

If Club was to bring in Higuain in deal with Suarez and £45M, then B Rodgers was to bring in Benteke, Capel, Munian and Tello to mix.
Add that to Aspas, Coutinho, Gerrard and Sturridge and our club would have some serious attackers at the club.
And more class, quality and depth to last full course of season whether players pick up injuries or suspensions
The club should only sell Suarez to Real for £40-£45M if Benzema and Higuain are put in the deal also.
As if G Bale is worth £65M, then Suarez is better than Bale and has been consistently better than Bale all through the season. Then he should be sold for what he is worth.
And at the moment Suarez is the 3rd best player in world, the only sweetners Real Madrid have is they know Suarez has 6 match ban over his head in england and would want to play from start of season, so if they offer for him the suspension is gone unless he joins another premiership team.

And Mark, In Benteke, Capel, Munian and Tello there are 4 class, quality players with the potential to world class in the future. Two of which have played for Barcelona, one is still there now(Tello0 and one was in youth ranks.(Capel) In Capel, Munian, Tello you have three spanish players with youth, pace, speed, mobility, class and creativity and goals within their locker.
In Benteke , we have powerful, mobile, quick off mark striker who is awesome in the air and bullies defenders all over the place who has a very good finish.
And if Real Madrid put Benzema or Higuain in the deal, then Rodgers brings these players to club we would have 4 good class quality strikers instead of 2.
In Aspas who is supposed to be signed shortly, Benteke, Higuain and Sturridge.
Thats 45-60 goals a season from them 4
Then in Capel, Coutinho, Munian and Tello , thats another 15-25 goals over the course of the season
If club are to sell Suarez, it should be for the best deal and for the best of the club, so if he is to be sold for £65 then fair dues. But if Real Madrid want to buy him for £45M , he should only be sold if Benzema Or Higuain are part of the deal also.
My own is that if he want to go let him go were are ok without him but is very painful he did not stay after all he has caused liverpool club the bad name at list he should stay becs of the fans and if he made up his mind let him go were ok without i believe we are going to see another strike to sign Torres lift us we stay ok so if suarez lift us we are going to see another to sign
Cant blame Suarez . He is one of the worlds best . Liverpool need to some more ambition to keep a player like him
