Suarez trains with LFCLIVERPOOL FC manager Brendan Rodgers is confident that star striker Luis Suarez will remain at Anfield next season.

Rodgers has admitted that he expects Liverpool to have to field enquiries regarding the Uruguayan, but is insistent that it will take a mind-boggling offer to prise Suarez away from the Reds.

“Listen, every player has their price but there’s certainly no pressure for the club to sell him.

“We’re trying to build that bit of quality so he’s not for sale, I don’t have any doubts there will be interest in him this summer, because he’s up there.

“There’s a small percentage of players who are world class and he’s in that bracket, so I don’t think it will be too dissimilar to when I first came in last summer, with clubs making their interest known.

“People will want to take him, but I think we all recognise how integral he is. The owners have been absolutely unequivocal in their resolve in terms of wanting to keep him.”

Rodgers has already expressed his desire to start strengthening the squad quickly so his main priority will be trying to lure all of his prospective targets to Anfield early on in the transfer window.

Hey all, I'm 17 years old and I've only been writing sports articles for a couple of months. I'm an aspiring journalist living in the Anfield area (about 5 minutes from the stadium, seriously, I can hear the roar of the Kop from my house!) I've been a lifelong supporter along with my entire family (except one Uncle, but we don't need to talk about that) and I've followed the Reds through the good and the bad times - and there's been a lot of both. I recently got accepted into college and shall be taking a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Journalism, with this hopefully being the first step towards a full time career in journalism.

Suarez is a fantastic player. It is better to keep hem for the next season at anfield

We see what difference suarez makes in the team so mr rodgers please dont sell him we have very talented youngsters in the squad which have emerged so to make a run for the title suarez is the main key

  • david says:

suarez has to stay unless the figure is over the 50 mill we got for nando

    • Bill says:

If he was sold for £50M we’d have to spend at least that amount to replace him with the inevitable settling in period. and that implies we could entice a replacement to come to a club with no European games for at least another season. We could do with £50M but not by selling our best player.

Suarez is our star and most consistent player in our squad, selling him will have negative impact on the team

Bayern have now equalled our 5 European cups, I hope the Bodgers fans are happy with our progress,

  • Ben says:

If we are to build a winning team next season L Suares is the building block along with Aggar, Steve Gee. He should not be sold. Be serious we have been mid table for too long.
