LIVERPOOL are eyeing up a bid for Shakhtar Donetsk forward Henrikh Mkhitaryan, according to The Guardian.
The Armenian international, who can play in midfield or upfront, has scored 25 goals for Shakhtar in the Ukrainian league this season.
And it seems the Reds are ready to bring the 24-year-old to the club, with a £22million bid for the attacker. The bid won’t be subject to the future of Luis Suarez, as Brendan Rodgers prepares for the start of the new season with only one senior forward.
Even if Luis Suarez stays at the club, he is banned for the first 6 matches, whilst Andy Carroll is set to be sold to West Ham this week. And with Daniel Sturridge possibly missing the start of the season due to an ankle injury, Fabio Borini looks likely to be the only striker available for the Reds when August comes.
Armenia’s three-time Player of the Year scored twice for Shakhtar in the Champions League this season, with a brace against FC Nordsjaelland.
Mkhitaryan also registered a goal against the Republic of Ireland, as he finished the Euro 2012 qualifiers as Group B’s top scorer with 6 goals.
Rodgers is now ready to bring the 24-year-old to Anfield, in his attempt to get the Reds back into Europe.

That will for sure be a gud deal.hope he also come in to raise the club to a new level as suarez and torres did.
Would be a great signing. Not as shiny as Eriksen but more effective. Loads of goals from midfield. something we were lacking last few seasons.
At last liverpool are finally in the hunt for a class player
We will be doing well to get him , this guy is excellent
Will be a great signing if it goes through but we need to hold on to Suarez.

Henrikh should be signed as soon as possible, before the deal is hijacked by his other suitors, and £20million is not much for such a wonderful talent.Liverpool really need such a midfielder to be able to competes with the likes of chelsea, man-utd and city.
Please we should sign him now is a good player before another thing happens so that we”ll be able to compete city & man utd.

Dont repeat last seasons mistake.LFC will become a force again if this deal plus Erickson, Luis Muriel,Aspas,Papa and Ilori goes through. With Coutinho,Sturridge, Lucas,Gerrard,Kolo,Johnson,Reina its like a potential dream team.

Rodgers seems to be looking in the right direction for next year. I’m delighted with Touré. But Sterling seems to overlooked – he should go out on loan for a year or two. Crystal Palace would be an ideal place – he’d start every game and learn how to cope with better teams.
Grab hm fast plz…n let suarez go to munich so that we can gt roben
