Liverpool SpanishOPTIMISM always exists at the start of the season in Liverpool, but Jose Enrique firmly believes that the Reds can challenge on all fronts next season.

According to Sky Sports, Enrique said:

“We already have a great team and we have some more new players and of course with more additions we can fight for everything. I think we have a very, very good team.”

Liverpool have already signed four players this season in Simon Mignolet from Sunderland, Kolo Toure from Manchester City, Luis Alberto from Sevilla and Iago Aspas from Celta Vigo.

Furthermore, Enrique has been helping Alberto and Aspas become accustomed to life in Liverpool and comprehend the pressures and expectation of wearing the Liverpool red.

Enrique told LFC TV:

“From the start they have been with me all the time and asking me things, which is normal.

“I did it before with other players. I told them that if they need me for anything they have me here – I know at the start and when you change country, it’s difficult when you don’t know the language.

“Aspas did really well with Celta Vigo and scored a lot of goals. I saw a few games but I don’t really follow La Liga much; just my team Valencia, Levante, Madrid and Barcelona.

“I follow the Premier League more. But I know he’s doing really well and Luis Alberto did really well at Barcelona. Hopefully they will do well here.

“You can’t say much because training is physical now. We do a lot of work with the ball, but now it’s more physical. But you can see Aspas is a really clever player and a good guy as well, like Luis.

“We have a really good team; we did already last year but with the few additions we have now, we have an even better team. Hopefully we’ll do well and get where we want to be.”
