Why are the Reds still being left behind?

LFC trainingWITH news on Sunday morning that Luis Suarez was gracing the team with his presence, while Pep Reina was as good as on a plane to Italy to sign for Rafa Benitez’s Napoli, things were looking a little bit less than rosy for Liverpool fans.

Having already got a lot of business done early in the summer, we could’ve been forgiven for thinking we were embarking on a summer of promising transfers, where we built on the solid January transfer window and late, end-of-season surge.

But while the transfer of Pepe Reina out of the club was a disappointing enough prospect, the idea of him being loaned to a club who shouldn’t even be in our rear-view mirror is slightly preposterous.

The claims a few weeks ago that Mignolet was simply some top class competition for Reina didn’t kid many of us. We held out hope that this wasn’t a fallacy but we all, deep down, knew that he was likely to be on his way, one way or another.

The idea that he is being loaned to Napoli simply to clear a high-earner from ‘the books’ is very concerning though.

It’s been a long-established theory that, to compete at the highest level, you need at least two top-class performers in every position. It is also a widely held belief that without such competition Reina had let his standards slip in recent seasons so the introduction of the Belgian ‘keeper was seen to be a potentially positive move, if not only because it would force Reina to get back to his best

But with Reina now on his way, and Brad Jones having recently signed a new contract, it would appears that we’re back to square one, with one good goalkeeper and no real quality back-up.

The concern is that the club is simply trying to ‘balance the books’, in that, for every high-earner we sign, another one either has to be moved on or room has to be made for them some other way. Unfortunately, this isn’t how a top club should be operating.

It makes even less sense when you consider that we’ll save barely £3-£4 million from loaning Reina out when Downing is probably on the same wages and we could bring in double that amount just by selling him AND save a few million more in his wages too. And don’t even get me started on Jay Spearing still being here.

Whether this is a policy the owners have adopted at all of their sports ‘franchises’ or not is irrelevant, you can’t (one or two anomalies aside) find success in football without first spending some money. And while Liverpool are certainly spending money, this summer we seem to be trying just as hard to recoup money in other ways.

With Reina moving on and Suarez, Agger and Skrtel all being linked with moves to what we should still consider ‘rival’ clubs, the signs are looking less than positive and while the players we’ve signed so far have all acquitted themselves fairly well in the early stages of pre-season, losing any or all of the four previously mentioned would only see the club consolidate itself as a 6th or 7th place team.
[ad_pod id=”unruly-video” align=”center”]
While the likes of Manchester City are signing up £20+ million players like it’s going out of fashion, Liverpool appear to be aiming at the ‘solid, if unspectacular’ £7-£10 million bracket, whilst simultaneously allowing our best players to be linked with moves away from the club. This has all the worrying hallmarks of a club that is slipping.

The most disappointing aspect of all of this is that, when the Reds touched down in Indonesia last week (and again in Australia on Sunday), they were literally mobbed by thousands of fans.

Again, at each ground they play in, in these far and distant lands, the fans feel so strongly toward the club that the place becomes like a home away from home, with tens of thousands of supporters often foregoing the opportunity to support their home club or nation for the chance to support the club from Merseyside that they hold so dear.

And yet, we are still not truly taking financial advantage of this. Liverpool Football Club is a massive sporting entity, supported by many, many millions around the globe and yet, in terms of marketing, merchandising and advertising there is still a sense of the ‘small-time’ about us in the way we approach this. It’s almost as if we just don’t know how to take advantage of our vast support-base.

It’s a problem we’ve had for years and while the other huge clubs such as Barcelona, Real Madrid, Arsenal and Manchester United have exploited this great natural resource, Liverpool have let themselves get left behind. Which is why our best players are now being poached from us by these clubs.

Since 2007 we’ve lost Alonso, Arbeloa, Mascherano, amongst others to these clubs and now face the prospect of losing Suarez, Agger and maybe others too. It just doesn’t have to – nor should it – be this way; we are easily the equal of all of these clubs, we just need to find a way to fast-track ourselves back into the big-time.

We will just have to accept the fact that Pepe has gone. However, Luis Suarez does not appear to be a lost cause, just yet.

I’ve lost a lot of respect for him but even if he is forced to stay, I have faith in him that he will not let his performance levels drop out of spite. Suarez just isn’t that type. He may be childish, petulant and not all that bright, but he loves football and he will always give football his all, which will benefit us if he does stay.

With the few small additions we’ve made this summer (including any more incoming) Suarez could still prove to be the key to Liverpool propelling themselves back into the big-time. And, sadly, by that I mean the Champions League. Whether you like it or not, that is where you need to be these days; it just opens up a whole new world of finances, better players and well, better opportunities and that’s where we need to be.

That needs to be the target this season, or we will certainly risk another Suarez saga again next summer. Either with Suarez himself, should he now stay, or with next seasons star performer. If not, then the club will again bleed some of it’s better players and we will fall further into solidifying ourselves in mid-table mediocrity and for a club of our size that just should not be acceptable.

Too much doom and gloom in this article. Liverpool have not been able to compete financially for a while which is reasonable considering the source of funds of the other clubs. Plus our lack of CL also hurts us big time. Not many clubs have two first team keepers in their ranks. Pepe has been our star for many years and for me it would be not fair to have him as our back up after so many years of service. Brad Jones is enough of a back up for now anyway.
Suarez has probably alienated many Liverpool fans by his behavior but if he plays with the commitment of last season and helps us contend with the other top teams then I’m cool with that. If not, we get a boat load of dough from his sale and invest in other players ala BVB. They are a model we should be following for sure.

  • Alan says:

You have to wonder why a club who is always among the top 10 richest clubs in the world is struggling so badly. We never have proper owners who are savvy and make the right decisions.

We usually have bungling owners who make the wrong decisions and the club never reaches its real potential. Also the appointments of Hodgson, 12 years retired Kenny and now Rodgers have stagnated the club on the field.

A proven world class manager like Ancelotti was the way to go.

    • Tom says:

“Rodgers has stagnated the club on the field..”

You are yet another mickey mouse dumbo who watches nothing. I guess you should try as much as possible to get a TV this coming season, so you should see what other people see and stop judging based on listening to commentaries on your transistor radio

      • aaron says:

        Well said Tom.

I honestly can’t believe some of these, so called supporters and their ‘pearls of wisdom’

      • stevieG says:

Kop on Tom .try watching some games instead of just the highlights. ..Rodgers is a clown and we have just had our worst season in 60 years

    • h says:

Absolute rubbish about rodgers…..I went to 14 home games and we are playing great football….consistecy is the key….absolute ballbag of a post lad

  • T.boier says:

Ian Ayre & the board that runs L’pul should accept these allegations..I concur with this article & it’s only motherluck that can make us survive this appalling practice of buying 1 gud player & selling another…its just shambolic & considering the fact that John Henry had already publicly admitted they know nothing about the game before taking over..,then it’s only imperative to lay the blames @ the doorstep of Ayre…the season beckons though & if mid-table is all we could once again achieve then the fans should be vocal in dissolving the board…cefini

  • Darren says:

“we are easily the equal of all of these clubs”?????

Are you sure? We are way behind the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Man Utd, to that list I should add PSG, Bayern Munich, Man City and Chelsea. It’s not a question of history, fan base or global presence, it all comes down to the pounds and the pence. We can’t compete with the big names in world football yet, 20+ years of failure and mediocrity have brought us to this point. But, and this is the crux of the matter, BR and FSG are attempting to (re)build an empire. It’s not going to happen overnight, it will happen……….. so be patient!

Firstly, we need a strong squad good enough to challenge for a top four spot, for that we need good players because at the moment we aren’t going to attract ‘worldbeaters’, each stepping stone we take will be met by many with blind optimism and the dream of a title challenge. Secondly, and realistically, it’s going to take time. Anfield is going to be buzzing in a few weeks and rightly so, we are at the start of a crucial season that is the first wrung on the ladder towards the aforementioned empire that could dominate English football once more. It has to start somewhere so trust in BR, FSG and the ‘brand’ that is Liverpool Football Club.

Success will come but let’s not run before we can walk!

    • Gaby says:

      Well said!

    • Gary baker says:

Get your head out of the sand you doughnut ! fsg are not interested in building an empire.

      • Bejnay says:

        No, eh?

They would rather take the piddly profit they’re making now, over what they could be making if LFC grew into a European contender again, right?

You should use your brain, or somebody’s that works, before ever discussing what businessmen prefer from their investment.

I’m not buying everything they’re sellying, but sweet jesus, you’re some kind of daft.

      • Dan says:

actually they are and for one simple reason, it’s the only way they will actually make money. Supporters like you do not seem to think to well, your minds are closed so let me help. What does CL bring? and if you don’t the answer I suppose I had better give up. Money comes with success on the pitch and FSG knows that.

  • Mikeyboy says:

We will save £5.5m loaning Reina out. He gets to play 1st team football then move to RM. As for players being linked , who has actually left or had a bid made for him? More scaremongering.

Nobody outside of Chelsea and Man City has done much so far. Spearing and Assaidi will be gone, along with probably Coates. If Suarez goes, we will have a huge chunk of change to buy, but with no CL we won’t likely get top notch players who will be in demand.

We are following the Dortmund route, and we probably have to. Don’t forget RM Barca Utd etc all have huge matchday revenues, millions ore per match than we do at the moment.

    Patience, young padawan

  • Ian says:

Get rid of the so called owners and the board and get someone who knows how to run a club and a franchise to top up revenue streams. We don’t need rich owners either, we only need someone with a bold plan and balls to use the money generated to get the club back to the upper echelons of the league. All these yanks are doing is asset stripping the club to fund there rounders team across the pond. What I also can’t seem to work out is how they can fund hundred million dollar contracts on one player where they are cost cutting amd getting rid of high earners from here. Agree with T.boier, we need to be vocal and get rid of these arrogant yanks out of our club. YNWA.

    • Gary baker says:

Well said lad. Fsg are downgrading our squad replacin top players with cheaper average ones

Fsg have plenty of money , henry is worth 2.5 billion alone but they don’t choose to invest

Liverpool will never be a top club again as long as these greedy yanks are here

      • Dan says:

you are an absolute idiot. FSG funded the loan, to the club, they also put in another 40/45 Million in just 6 months ago. Do you think money grows on trees, they are being careful after the screw up that was made buying expensive players that could not perform. And being worth 2.5 Billion a) doesn’t mean that’s in cash and b) doesn’t mean you throw money down the tube. They are proper businessmen who want to make money and I couldn’t care less if they made millions more, because they can only do this by us being in the CL

    • aaron says:

And then have another 5 year translation period while this ‘Bold plan’ comes to fruition?

When would you like us to be successful?

Are you also not pleased with the ‘Bold plan’ of youth so far. Suppose we would sell Sterling & Ibe if you were in charge.

      Muppet

      • stevieG says:

The plan is not going to work you fool

Grow up and live in the real world

        • aaron says:

What world is that then, the one where you sack a manager because he has cleared overpaid deadwood from the squad and signed two quality players in January.

Where would Utd be now if they did that some 26 years ago?

Enjoy your first season watching and learning about football you clown.

    • Mr. Liverpool says:

Yes yes yes I’m from Boston and FSG are suck they will sell you best play after you win last year we not even make play off
They here to make money not for liverpool
I’m Boston fan for 47 years they are suck ower we never have

  • Redsim says:

FSG pay out for Red Socks allright but they want LFC to pay for itself. The £20m they seem prepared to put into the transfer kitty just comes from increased TV revenue. Very disappointed with transfers so far – some promising talent but another season of frustrating inconsistency beckons and finishing 6th or 7th again will only damage us further and lead to our young quality players like Coutinho being poached.

  • aaron says:

I love all you plastic supporters out there with very little football knowledge!

I suppose you would prefer us to go back and sign Souness instead of someone trying to build success from the foundations up.

Has anyone ever seen a house built in a day? No! Foundations first then build the floors. Even Chelsea and City didn’t build their houses in one season,WE DO NOT HAVE THEIR MONEY!

Fans wanted Dalglish and look what happened to our transfer funds. Who can now blame the owners for being cautious, after all, are they not also clearing our debt from the previous disastrous regime?

Time and patience is what is required.

Someone said us spending 7-10m is mediocre. I suppose Coutinho and Sturridge are mediocre too?

Stop being plastic fans and get real.

    • CHUKWUEMEKA says:

fans wanted daglish cos hodgson was ruining the club, get that. sturridge is £15mil. i stand to be corrected.

      • aaron says:

        I get it!

Just what was Dalglish doing to our club then?

almost every commentator was reporting last season how beautifully we played.

when was the last time that happened?

        Give people a chance

        • CHUKWUEMEKA says:

except from the buying of overhyped british players at rediculous prices and constantly playing them, he apperantly saved us from relegation, reached two cup finals, won one, got kept us playing in europe but was sacked because that wasnt lfc standard. mind you, am not a daglish fan but rodgers hasnt improved on that. unless you are going to judge them on their ability of giving excuses nd manipulating the media. rodgers is definitely way ahead of him in that regards.

          • aaron says:

Good point well made. KD knows the club inside out and I appreciate what good he did and is still a legend in my eyes.

I just love the style of football we now display on a regular basis, fingers crossed BR can emulate some of the success KD enjoyed first time round.

All I know is that if we change manager again, three more steps backwards, when we are, in my opinion, beginning to walk forwards again.

        • stevieG says:

Aaron . You don’t GET anything. Your obviously a small kid . Get a clue !

          • aaron says:

I get that you are a Utd fan hiding behind a fake name.

Calm down son, you’ll give yourself a hernia.

        • Mr. Liverpool says:

I want win i dont care how beautifully if we lost

      • h says:

        Your corrected then….sit back down

  • Brigadier says:

A manager with an inferiority complex signing players other clubs dont want.
Owners who are baseball fans with no knowledge of football on or off the field.

you do sound stupid but i am sure you have no idea. maybe u should read what you wrote again and seeh ow really you are a definition of the word: “stupid”

  • CHUKWUEMEKA says:

a perfect article, more grease to your elbow nd may your pen never stop writting……
it gets me laughing when some fans keeping echoing the sentiment of doing it the dortmund way….they forget too easily that before dortmund there was arsenal, they do not factor the fact that the english league is a much tougher league with much tougher oppositions than the german league. excepting bayern schalke nd the present dortmund, how many of german teams can compete in the epl top7 esp if you have to do it the dortmund way? what works for peter would not necessarily work for paul. talking about building a house with or without foundations. have you seen a house built with inferior materials for whatsoever reason? what happens to it? isnt it obvious? “penny wise pounds foolish” i dont believe in throwing around money but in buying the right players nd the right coach.

  • j75j says:

No mention of the 60 instore Liverpool shops being opened across Indonesia by one of their biggest retail groups that deal with Zara, DKNY and Lacoste. How much profit are these shops going to bring to the club?
Have any you seen those scenes in the Far East and Australia????
Don’t you think companies are going to be falling over themselves to be part of LFC in the Far East???? Wasn’t it those fans which attracted Standard Charter????
All I can see is nothing but good coming from FSG!!! Liverpool tried to mix it with the big boys under The Cowboys but we didn’t have the right set up relying on Champions League money when the real money is in our huge world wide fan base!!!!
FSG and LFC have only just started scratching at the surface of global merchandising and sponsorship deals!!!!!

  • CHUKWUEMEKA says:

Anybody else believe dat if Suarez stays an we get cover at left back in aly cissokho an maybe eriksen dat we wil be gud enuff to get top 4.a full season of couthino an sturridge along wit Suarez I think we hav d best attack in d league

  • ReddishCharles says:

I said it once and l will say it again.
The truth about transfer windows is that before it gets u excited once it had broken your heart a thousand times.
BR is a joke by deceiving us Reina is having a competition in Mignolet; SMH.
Well I still find it difficult to believe the Media because some of them want names and influence their markets by developing a single phrase “I am going” into millions of translations. Let august 31st comes.
We love Mr Suarez despite all d dramas and d sagas, but if he wants out, why keeping him? To be honest, he’s our best player last season (he’s an actor, yes), he single-handedly won us few matches to be frank but that doesn’t mean nobody can step into that shoe.
If truly FSG have passion for great LFC or just profits, this transfer window will reveal their ambitions. I dont care whether Rodgers stays or goes but l see something outstanding in him in near future though.
We want top 4 finish? Hell no, the 2 Manchester clubs are ahead, Chelsea sugar daddy ready to dispense,Spurs have incredible and ever improving Bale, Everton poked us in d nose. What have we? 4 clubs fighting for 4th spot, we have ambitions but why must we empower our opponent? Why must we give bombs to our enemy at warfront? Why must we sell Suarez to Arsenal? Do we really or better FSG want us in d champions league? My heart bleeds red!

  • h says:

Are you stupid……you can only sell players if someone wants them……plus a $4 million saving in wages…and no doubt a loan fee from napoli in to the bargain….plus if reina has a good season his value will rise ready for his sale to barca next year when valdes contract ends…..it is in fact very good business….born out by the stats on mignolet……nothing positive to say???…..then shut the fcuk up for christs sake

    • Dan says:

lol.. I can’t believe people actually believe everything that is written in the Daily Fail. Wenger has never spent more than 15 million on any player.

  • Harvey says:

    Picky much?

  • Erin says:

Because our manager is a fraud! That’s why we are left behind!
Years after rafa left, we still haven’t found a top 4 manager, a winner. Which makes the decision not to even offer the man an interview laughable . 6 bad months at inter but he proved himself once again. The fat waiter has now 3 european trophys with 3 clubs added to the cv. but we still had to go for BR and his amazing presantation .Why are we left behind? Because we buy players like Allen, Borrini , asaidi , sahin… And co!
King Kenny with downing Carrol combo, set us a few plates and years away from challenging. And now we are sending top class keepers on loan whilst at the same time buying another one for 9 million. By the start if the season, with the new defensive line up….the believers in Rogersthemessia, will call for time . The defence need to gel, we didn’t have time to buy a Suarez replacement and so on and so forth.
Some of us can see the mistakes happening and losing it over this. Supporters that have become spectators without any power to do anything but watch our beloved club being brought to its knees.

    • aaron says:

Was it not the fat waiter who wanted to replace Alonso with Barry and also lost our lead at the top after a needless rant. Fact.

I like him but his transfer dealings at times was very questionable, obviously some excellent signings but maybe not wise to go back to him.

You say no time to find a replacement but after Torres left wasn’t Suarez quickly through the door? If Suarez leaves now we have plenty of time plus Sturridge already in place.

Allen will come good, remember Lucas and his early years.. Boring has always been injured but scores for his national team. The others I’ll give you but they were cheap so no real harm done.

Bit more positivity lad and support BR who is obviously passionate about LFC and is highly rated by Mourinho and other top managers.

      • CHUKWUEMEKA says:

no fat waiter wanted barry but rafa wanted him in his team but not to replace alonso, alonso was sold because rafa needed money to strengthen some positions.
suarez was brought in before the toress sell, carrol was hastily bought immediately after the sale.
remember lucas????? remember this names? mascherano, sissoko, hypia, alonso, etc, enough reason for lucas? which players are in allens position?

        • CHUKWUEMEKA says:

i forgot to add didi hermann to that of lucas. you might not remember him

          • aaron says:

            Can you not read?

I said ‘obviously some excellent signings’ this includes Hamman. We would not have won the CL without him so yes I do remember him.

      • stevieG says:

Aaron …silly silly comment. Fact – rafa has won trophies everywhere he has been , Rodgers doesn’t even know what a trophy looks like

Fact – rafa can attract top top players …Rodgers doesnt

Fact – rafa is a worldwide respected manager who made us consistently a top club in Europe….Rodgers has given us an appalling embarrassing season

Fact – rafa is a great manager….Rodgers is second rate at best

        • aaron says:

Most trophies he won with other managers teams, seems to struggle building his own.

Lasted 6 months with a team who just won a handful of trophies.

He did good for us, in fact excellent at rimmed but also bad too. We gave him years, you want to give BR one?

          Silly man

          • aaron says:

Excellent at times not rimmed, sorry for typo.

          • Wayne Lynch says:

Rodgers deserves nothing . Championship manager at best

          • stevieG says:

That’s a ridiculous comment as I have ever seen .. Rafa won all those trophies with teams he moulded

In fact all Swansea fans will tell you Rodgers.achieved promotion with Martine team…EVERY Swansea fan will say thst

…and he was always only ever going to be interim manager at Chelsea..so your not making any sense at all

As Wayne says ..Rodgers should not have got the job in the first place ….sooner he is gone the better

He is a disgrace…a lying waffler…and a yes man for the owners …no integrity…no decency…not fit to manage our club

        • CHUKWUEMEKA says:

you didnt get my point! i was only using those players to illustrate why rafa kept faith in lucas, in allens case, he is total sh*t not meant for lfc

          • aaron says:

            Ok.

I disagree tho. His performances at Swansea were really good. I think he’ll do better this season than last.

But why would we sell Riise for 4m and replace him with Dossena for 7m was it?

Rodgers will never buy anyone as bad as Carroll or Josemi and that in my opinion is a great start.

I’m not saying BR is the messiah just that he needs time like most young managers do.

It wasn’t right what CFC did to AVB, I’d like to think we’re better than that!

          • stevieG says:

Rodgers already has done worse . 15 m for that Welsh wimp !!!
            11 m for 2 goal.Borini.

          • aaron says:

            Fair point ‘ StevieG’.

I guess we’ll find out now how good or bad BR will be with his own team.

I have a bit of faith in him and it appears as tho the owners do too, so he is here for a few years whether people like him or not.

Just don’t celebrate when we win games and always moan when we lose if you hate him that much.

Rafa lasted a long time squaring up to G&H. Looks like being a yes man isn’t all bad if you wanna stay employed, which is the name of the game for managers.

in case you dont know he won significant trophies in every team he managed. la liga, uefa cup, champ league, club w/cup etc, to mention but a few. “most” times wins with other managers teams nd struggle? referring to chelsea nd inter i suppose. he likes working in a system not crashing it nd giving excuses. wins trophies with his team. e.g valencia. won a trophy with faltering team without the support of fans nd certain players. e.g chelsea. we gave him years because he delivered instantly. allen was fantastic at swansea, yes! in giving backward nd lateral passes which he has carried over to lfc. as for players like carrol, i cant remember us selling joe allen, was he signed by rodgers?

      Good comment erin

How is it worse when those players had injuries? Boring played a handful of times, still looks better than Babel, who played way more! I’m not a Borini fan by the way.

also didn’t Agger and Gerrard have record games in a season?

Coaching set up appears better IMO.

        • stevieG says:

Borini 22 appearances 2 goals ( in easy matches) 0 assists 0 great runs and out of those 22 apps I would say 20 at least we’re poor poor performances

Allen 37 apps 1 goal .0 assists . I would say 37 poor performances…oh I know he can pass the ball sideways 5 yards …anyone can do that…he is a weak wimp

So between them 59 apps with 3 goals .shocking and disgraceful. Stop making excuses for these 2 disasters.

          • aaron says:

No excuse just not gonna say someone is crap after injury plagued first season where we are changing the style of play and its their first season at a massive club. That’s all

        • CHUKWUEMEKA says:

didnt agger and gerrard have record games in a season? isnt that a sign of lack of competition for their position? and his lack of man management skills. you should be saying your thanks to the medical team and GOD for there coming through the season unscathed since one or both to an extent have injury records

          • aaron says:

Who has ever challenged Gerrard and whose fault is it that Skertl realised he cannot play in a passing team. Ohh and who bought Coates.

The coaching staff provided them tailor made training, along with medical staff this has helped more than ever.

          • aaron says:

Wasn’t it his man management skills that got better performances out of SD, JH & JE. All of whom we’d agree, didn’t really belong in a Liverpool shirt, with the exception of JE who is just chalk and cheese at times.

          • aaron says:

Check the stats for Allens passes last year. Sandwiched between Arteta and Yaya Toure in terms of forward accurate passes.

          • CHUKWUEMEKA says:

got better performances out of SD? we didnt have a dirk kuyt, bellamy or maxi rodriguez to keep him out of the team. and you honestly didnt expect henderson to ne worst than allen. Did you?

  • frae says:

Give da club some tym cos I tink BR is da rite man for da job cos I tink its tym we settle wit a manager so success can b achieved inda long run.we av suffered a lot so let us b patient for a change.lfc shud do mor in advertising cos we ere in RSA dnt get enuf mechandise so dat dept needs to wrk harder.we will b inda top 4 dis season cos we a massive club.

  • Neil says:

Bottom line!….World class fans, world class club, world class income, mediocre owners!

    • aaron says:

Didn’t the owners help end one of the biggest winning droughts in baseball history?

how long since we won the league, sport, like business can transcend and they need not know everything about football straight away as long as they learn fast.

getting rid of comoli, who was far more to blame than dalglish, shows signs of better understanding. Takes strong character to correct their own mistakes so publicly.

John Lennon would have said Give FSG a chance.

  • Wayne Lynch says:

We are being left behind because we have owners who are clueless about football and a manager who is out ofhis depth.
Liverpool football club will achieve no success as long as fenways and Rodgers are at our club
