LIVERPOOL FC target Mamadou Sakho has told his current employers, French champions PSG that he is desperate to leave, reports The Metro.
The French central defender has given the clearest indication yet that he wants to join Liverpool by telling the French club that he will only leave for the Reds.
Reds manager Brendan Rodgers had identified Sakho as an alternative to Greek centre-back Kyriakos Papadopoulos.
The tall centre-back is so desperate to move to Anfield that he is even considering lowering his wage demands to below the £60,000 per week he currently earns at PSG.
Liverpool have already bid £8million for Sakho, that offer was rejected. Reports suggest that a bid of £12 million would be enough to see the player move to Anfield.
Sakho is a powerfully built left footed and left sided centre-back who Brendan Rodgers could play alongside Daniel Agger – or he could in fact be the Dane’s long-term replacement.
Sakho also fits the profile that FSG prefer, a young player, bought for a reasonable fee and with the option for a larger resale fee in the future.
Reds fans will hope to be welcoming another left footed French defender to Anfield in the next week or so, to join recent signing Aly Cissokho.

A player u relly wants lfc as his team to play for than less than 60 000 a week but can cost lfc 12 million I say its a very good investment. And tht they should not delay on making sure they sign him and he is still young and can give lfc a long sevice. And become a kop legend . Plz do all u can to persue this man signature y N W A

Much better if LFC can sign Mamadou Sakho and Kryiakos Papadoulos together.This 2 players enough to give protection for LFC fortress this season.
If LFC is strongest in financial they won’t be struggle to get signing whoever and whatever players they are dream it.New owner John Henry and FSG is not so good so far to become LFC owner.They make new transfer policy but they cannot fullfill it the condition very well.Young talent is good for development system but they not able to pay or meet asking price to realize the dealing.1 by 1 target players are missing away and they can just give a little smile ( frusted ).I think this is 1 provent that LFC owner never give fully support for the clubs.Untill now they cannot get sign marquee signing because never having “big budget”.The real is only just get bargain fee.
