Liverpool goalThe Liverpool Echo today interviewed Liverpool FC manager Brendan Rodgers, and Rodgers sang the praises of his goal scoring sensation, Daniel Sturridge.

After another Liverpool win and yet another Liverpool goal for Sturridge, Brendan Rodgers has been heaping the praise on the England striker.

His goal on the weekend was his 13th in 18 appearances for the Reds and the 23 year old striker is shown signings of becoming England’s No1 striker in readiness for the World Cup in Brazil next summer.

Rodgers was quoted as saying:

“If you look at Daniel Sturridge and what he has, as long as he continues and keeps his fitness, he would be a big, big threat for any team.

“You’d look at him and people would think he’d maybe be a Brazilian striker with his body physique and his pace and power.

“England are fortunate to have him because he’s a big, big talent. But he knows he needs to be consistent, he needs to get himself the games and the goals. I have got no doubt that he will be a massive asset for England.”

Liverpool fans will hope his run continues for many weeks to come, especially with the visit of Manchester United just a few days away.

Good to see Brendan encouraging but also affirming he needs to KEEP Working Hard. So as he doesn’t get complacent. I think things are slowly looking up, Brendan is the right man for the job. He’s building something long term here, not a 1 or 2 season wonder.

Liverpool can forget about man c, Man U, Chelsea. Arsenal, spurs. Base on this bunch of players, we can forget about champion league next season. Roger has sound out that he will need to capture 2 to 3 first team player upon the 4 early signing. To date- none of them is here.steve downing is sold without any real marque signing!!!!

true john. been saying that myself, unfortunately it will only hit some people when results start going against us. And I have a feeling the owners are not averse to the idea of more cost cutting by selling Suarez.

Thank God he (BR) knows that Daniel is an injury prone striker, why not a reserve available incase anything happen…Learndro still much available at a cheaper rate.

Dbloc, im not against BR or FSG but something tells that before the transfer window shuts, LFC will sell Suarez with two bargain priced players arriving and FSG proudly announce to the world this transfer window has been a profitable one. And the fund will be used to bring in players on the January window. So they will not have to release anymore from their wallets.

Keep winning and the whole world will dance with you.

Well, i didn’t know what my kopprites are saying. But all i care is that LFC we Win EPL this season! Even without Suarez & Sturridge, cause Coutinho, Gerrard, Aspas, Alberto, Sterling, Ibe & even the coming one can score the goals! So why worry, only Believe!!! We just need a central-back, Up LFC.
