LiverpoolLiverpool FC new forward Iago Aspas has been speaking about his frustration at his start to his Reds career, reports Sky Sports.

Aspas, a summer signing from Spanish club Celta Vigo, has found himself on the substitutes bench in recent games after a series of unconvincing performances and the return from suspension of Luis Suarez.

The 26 year old who has yet to score in six Premier League appearances for the Reds now finds himself in the unaccustomed position of being a substitute, and he admits it is something he is having difficulty adjusting to.

“I’m finding it hard to be a sub at Liverpool having started games in the past few years,” Aspas told Marca.

“When I left Celta Vigo I was aware that to start for Liverpool wasn’t going to be easy. And now the team is winning and we are among the leaders in the Premier League, it’s very hard to get a game.

“I hope to carry on working hard and little by little to get more game time with Liverpool. I want to change the current situation.

“Now it’s difficult to get in the Spain team because I’m playing less but I’m not worried about that. However, I will try to get in the squad.”

Maybe he should put in a request for a loan spell away from Anfield.

Aspas should pack his bags . A complete waste of money. Not good enough for LFC

Aspas is good just that he need to go to the gym to improve his stamina and then his shot power cos I don’t see him bullying off many premier league defenders and also improve his guiding of his ball during games cos he loses the ball so often. If he does all this he will be an excellent player.

Aspas is not a lfc material. Nothing can make him become good at lfc as he is a complete trash. & a big waste of money. I wonder who scouted him.

  • Jack says:

Nowhere near Liverpool standards. Fabio Borini mark 2

  • Raam says:

Iago only has to look at Kolo Toure. Work hard and keep improving. Has to show that he can survive in EPL. If he doesnt start now than theres no one to blame but himself.

  • Harry says:

Total waste of money. A Spanish second division player at best. Shocking

    Allen – Borini – Assaidi – Aspas = 37 million pounds of s h I t e
