With Adam Lallana having seemingly been on his way to Anfield for a medical for the best part of 24 hours, it looks like – all jokes aside – he could well become Liverpool’s first ‘big’ summer signing.

However, with news in recent days that Liverpool are set to steal Belgian striker Divock Origi from under the noses of a number of rivals, the club could be in the midst of a number of very exciting signings as a flurry of activity has been kicked off following England’s arrival home from the World Cup.

According to reports today, the player’s representatives have been in England for the past day or so in an attempt to seal a deal for the young star who scored his first international goal for Belgium in the 1-0 win over Russia at the World Cup group stage and has impressed widely with his ability and work-rate.

Should a deal be concluded in the days to follow, then the player is likely to be loaned back to his club Lille, with a proposed transfer fee in the region of £9-10 million.

This guy has a lot of potential. He took his chances after Lukaku failed. Good instinct in front of goal. If the reports are true that we got him , that’s great bcoz his value will surely skyrocket after the WC.

Why don’t we sign danny ings? We can get him for 8m apparently. Or is scoring over 20 goals last season not enough to convince he can score in the pl?
