4. Adam Lallana – It’s been a tough few months for the midfielder, of whom a lot was expected with such a hefty transfer fee. Once his first goal hit the back of the West Brom net last week though, there was no doubting the quality that Lallana can bring to Liverpool’s midfield and if he can continue to improve over the coming months there is no reason he can’t top the next one of these lists.
Over the last 5 games Lallana has gone from looking rusty and fatigued to intelligent and energetic and, at times, he has been the most effective of Liverpool’s attacking 3/4, particularly in the game against West Brom. His understanding with Henderson was hugely encouraging also – long may it continue.
Area to improve: Finishing.
