The club has today completed the signing of it’s third player of the summer, Adam Bogdan. The player also becomes the club’s third free transfer (Ings, technically being ‘free’) of the summer so far.
The Hungarian goalkeeper has played just 120 games since signing for Bolton in 2007, amassing 19 caps for his country in that time. Bogdan played only 10 times last season, in a Championship that Bolton finished 18th in.
A reserve goalkeeper from a Championship side that came close to relegation is hardly likely to set tongues wagging amongst Reds, and there will be a lot of criticism that Liverpool haven’t attempted to upgrade Simon Mignolet again, despite his improvement.
Bogdan will sign for Liverpool on a 2 year contract and become the new number two, after the departure of Brad Jones. An impressive performance against the Reds in the FA Cup earlier in the season seems to have been the primary reason for signing the player up, as Bogdan has only recently re-established himself in the Bolton side before being released.
Welcome to Anfield, Adam Bogdan.
With BR as manager, yes Championship players are the best we could get these days
Wow, world class goalkeeper , what a buy, with this keeper together with the Premier leagues slowest striker Ings, we are guaranteed to win the title next year….the title of no hopers !
beautiful nonsense. We need qualities and not quantities.
Think Brenden will play with 2 goalkeepers after the shame of palace/stoke results.
