Adam Bogdan – There wasn’t a great deal to do for the backup goalie and it’s harsh to blame him for Carlisle’s goal, as it was just a result of the all to familiar Liverpool defensive woes. However, his performance in the shootout was superb, saving three of five and generally reminding us that, not too long ago, we had Pepe Reina between the sticks. Rating – 7 Man of the Match
Nathaniel Clyne – A quiet display from Clyne and wasn’t at his most impressive going forward. After playing practically every game this season, it’s a worry that extra time might really have taken its toll on him. Rating – 5.
Martin Skrtel – Was decent on his return and dealt with the minimal threat from the opposition well, for the most part. Should take minimal blame for the equaliser. Rating – 5.5
Dejan Lovren – It was a mixed game for Lovren and he’ll bear a lot of the blame for the goal. His injury looked a bad one and it’s now been confirmed that he’s out for two months. Rating – 5
Emre Can – Looked a little more comfortable at the back this time around and he put in some lovely passes and touches. Deserves a slightly bumped up rating for that penalty alone but overall he still isn’t hitting the heights we’re all still expecting. Rating – 6
Alberto Moreno – Defensively, Moreno was Liverpool’s standout man. Added to the attack with constant probing and crosses, whilst doing a solid job at the back. Rating – 6
Rodgers OUT
3 years >> still bad
300 million spent >> still bad
Backroom staff all changes >> still bad
Why waiting to sack HIM
I have no idea
