Allen made an inconspicuous return to the team

Midfield

Joe Allen – It’s become a theme of Joe Allen’s Liverpool career that he didn’t do anything particularly bad last night. But it’s hard to remember anything he actually did. He was solid but it was easy to forget he was there, at times. Rating – 5.5

James Milner – The last couple of games for Milner have been ones to forget and last night was no different. His main involvement was to shoot and take corners and he did neither well. Started coming in from the left in the second half and looked much more useful but at the moment you have to question whether making him vice captain was the right choice. Rating – 5

Roberto Firmino – Showed a bit of welcome spark until he was withdrawn early in the first half with injury. Hopefully nothing too serious considering Liverpool’s growing injury list. Rating – NA

Adam Lallana – Lallana was one of few bright sparks in the Liverpool attack in the first half and his cross for Ings’ goal was beautiful. Slowly seems to be building on his goal last week. Rating – 6

  • Liverpool forever says:

    Rodgers OUT
    3 years >> still bad
300 million spent >> still bad
Backroom staff all changes >> still bad
    Why waiting to sack HIM
    I have no idea
