How Liverpool should lineup against Rubin Kazan

|
Sakho should be back in the starting 11 tonight

Despite having Premier League action in a few days, Liverpool can’t afford to lose tonight meaning Sakho and Skrtel must start

GK/Defence

Simon Mignolet – After some good work against Chelsea, Mignolet will look to build on his position as the team’s number one. Particularly after a promising display from Bogdan again last Wednesday. May come under more pressure than he did at Anfield.

Martin Skrtel – The 30 year old was just pipped to our man of the match award by Lucas and will be key to ensuring Kazan are kept away from goal tonight.

Mamadou Sakho – The big defender has been in the best form since he joined Liverpool under Klopp and his partnership with Skrtel has been going from strength-to-strength. Should these two play as they did against Chelsea, we’ll have the basis for a good result.

Nathaniel Clyne – Initially, Randall but got the nod but after injury to the youngster ruled him out late on Clyne will have to ensure another 90 minutes ahead of the weekend.

Alberto Moreno – While Clyne should be rested, it doesn’t make sense to start with two inexperienced full Backs and Moreno could be key in providing some width tonight with Benteke operating up top.
